I'm disappointed the mod installers are coming back. These dang mod installers are how I almost lost a PC to a virus the was impossible to delete. Had to install a new version of windows. To "save" the PC. After that it's was hanging on by a thread. It really isn't hard to do it yourself why risk the virus? Why make the mods only installable by the mod installers? I don't get it....


I see what u are saying, I do not use mod installers either. That's why I use RaR and Steam Workshop. Any mods that are not available in steam, or are not rar, I use the my method,the one I used in my video, to convert them!

Mod installers do not contain viruses though... :huh: so I never heard anyone with that kind of issue :silly:

There are no viruses in these installers. Your PC panic's and tells you it is a virus.

They are completely safe, you likely had another virus installed.

Half correct. PC's count those as false positives with Windows Defender or another anti-virus software. All you need to do is add the mod installers to the exceptions list in your particular anti-virus. It is not a virus and there is nothing to worry about.

I don't think there has ever been a virus in any mod or installer.

Hi I'm new here and just downloaded the game so forgive me but I can't download any of the 1.5.2 mods on 1.5.3? I wanted to download the chevy suburban 2016 model and mercedes sprinter but it doesn't work I was only able to download the hyundai Sonota on there is it possible to download 1.5.2 mods on 1.5.3? In the future will they make them downloadable on 1.5.3? Thanks

All 1.5 mods work on 1.5.3. For the mods like the Suburban, and Sprinter, that are not on the steam workshop, you have to install them manually.

The only difference, is that you follow This Path below, instead of the one in the video if your installing to 1.5.3 on Steam.

Program Files (x86)>Steam>steamapps>common>CityCarDriving>

When you install mods 1.5.2 or below in 1.5.3, Sometimes, Pictures wouldn't come up in the menu to select the color of the car. This issue can be quite annoying, so here is how to fix it.
