My starter.exe stopped working, so I redownloaded the setup program and installed it onto my system ( I uninstalled first ). I setup 1.2.5 (the version I bought) with all of the neccessary components on my Windows 8 Computer. I ran the program, but was still given the "Starter.exe has stopped working" message. I also tried to run in Vista compatibility mode, but the failure message appeared there aswell. Please help, I paid for this game, I play it all the time. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Have you deleted the "Forward Development" folder in your "My Documents"? If not, then you should delete it ;) .

From the FAQ:
Q:I've recently updated my game or change several settings. Now the game doesn't work. What shold I do?

A:Try to delete folders: "Multisoft" and/or "Forward Development" from your "My Documents" folder. This step usually helps in case if you've recently updated your game, changed game settings to incorrect or your profile DB file has been corrupted for some reason. Please, notice that after this action your profile will be deleted, all your settings will be reseted to default and the game progress and statistics will be lost.
I've added a new car to the game or any other third-party mod. Now the game doesn't work. What shold I do? Admin

If this is not your problem, just try it :) .

I just got the starter.exe problem after installing the Mercedes Sprinter and the Cadillac Escalade. I removed the mods and the game worked. Why are mods causing the error?

The sprinter doesn't work, don't use it. Install mods individually to see if they work or not. if they don't work you can remove them.
