If you have a problem with a mod or the game doesn't work after mod has been installed - use this thread to ask for help!

Don't flood all over the forum, post all your help requests only in this topic.

Please don't send private messages regarding the mods to me. Developers don't provide consultations regarding the third-party mods.

If you've installed the mod, but it hasn't appeared in the game, you should:

1. If you're using the cracked version of the game - just forget about mods at all! They will not work! If you wish to use mods - buy the game - citycardriving.com/buy/citycardriving

2. Make sure you've followed the mod installation instruction carefully.

3. Check if the installed mod version was exactly the same as your game version.

4. Mostly mods don't work because of mistakes, made by you during the mod installation in "player_cars" file. Post your "player_cars" file here and maybe other more experienced mod users will help you to find a mistake. Just ask kindly.

If you've installed the mod, but now the game crashes just after you launch it, you should:

4. If nothing helped maybe the installed mod contain bugs. To fix the game crash problem please follow the instruction under the spoiler below:

:pinch: Warning: Spoiler!

P.S.: Please, take into account that correct program operation with any third-party mod is not guaranteed! You install them at your own risk. Developers bear no responsibility for this.

I. Adding a new car to menu

Following is a list of parameters, which should be specified for a new car section:

'Name' attribute - this attribute is your car identificator. All gfx and settings for cars are situated in folders
named as their respective car ID's. For example, a 'Car28' car have all its data placed in following folders:

data\gui\Common\layouts\cars\Car28\
data\gui\3di_home\imagesets\cars\Car28\
data\gamedata\cars\Car28\
data\physics\cars\Car28\
data\physics\Engine\Car28\
data\physics\Transmission\Car28\
export\anims\cars\Car28\
export\gfxlib\cars\Car28\
export\meshes\cars\Car28\
export\texturesdds\cars\Car28\

All car identifiers SHOULD BE UNIQUE. Try to create an unique and distinctive IDs so you wouldn't collide
with other user cars and future developer cars.

'ABS' attribute - this attribute defines if this car could be driven with an antilock brake system.
Values: 'true' - ABS is enabled, 'false' - ABS is disabled.

'AT' attribute - this attribute defines if this car could be driven with an automatic gearbox.
Values: 'true' - automatic gearbox is enabled, 'false' - automatic gearbox is disabled.
NOTE that all cars should have a default manual gearbox.

'DisplayName' element - this element contains a name for the car, which is displayed in the menu.

II. Defining an image for a new car.

Each new car have a default image in the menu. In order to define an own image for a new car,

Looks just right ...
Try removing the Reventon from the player_cars. It might be a conflict .

If that does not work,

Try this, from the FAQ:
Please, notice that correct program operation with any third-party mod is not guaranteed! You install them at your own risk. Developers bear no responsibility for this.

In case of game malfunction caused by any third-party mod you should fully delete and then install the game again according to these steps:

1. Uninstall the game from the "Programs and components" menu in the control panel.

2. Manually delete the folder, where the game has been installed (if it will remain after uninstallation).

3. Delete folders "Multisoft" and/or "Forward Development" from your "My Documents" folder.

4. Install the game again (using the latest distributive from our official web site) and surely run the distribution kit with administrator privileges (right click on it and choose "Run as administrator" in the context menu). During the installation process you should agree on installing all additional software, because it's necessary for correct program operation.

Try second step. It will delete everything , but you can still backup your save files, in the "Forward Development" folder.
