Modded cars have barely visible lights. This used to be in Autumn only, but now it has spread to Summer and Winter. This is super annoying, and I want it fixed ASAP!

Suggestions -
The display of the car (Some vehicles) or a warning light on the dashboard could light up when the car has a malfunction. It works for the UI speedometer/tachometer etc.
Make sure you have edited the file in the Documents folder, rather than in the data\config folder.

I did do it in Documents. At first I made that mistake, but it doesnt appear at all.
Oh, simple. That isn't a valid address for a radio station. It has to be an IP address for an internet radio station that the game can directly access.

I took some stations out of the ETS2 radio file and they work. I guess I just need to find a working address for the stations I want.

Suggestion: Alert sound plays when the fuel light or engine warning light comes on.

Modern cars will play a tone and present a warning on screen when an issue is found with the car. Could this be done in CCD?

Hi. :cheer: Sorry for my bad English. ^^ I love this game, and the version 1.5.5 is awesome!
Here, there are some of my sugestions (or some "+ vote" for existent sugestions of other users), as well as problems that I found in my game experience:

- About tasks with limit of points in the free ride mode: the points are decreasing with no reason and without any violation message (neither alerts messages). This happens even when I'm driving slowly on a pacific straight street (under 37mph (60kph)), in a single lane (not touching the lane marks), without any traffic lights or signals, neither pedestrians trying to cross the street. Sometimes, a single point is removed without any message. Some short time passes, and more than 5 points are removed at once (again, with no messages).

- Remove the info message that appears when the driver just got through the speed limit. Instead, switch to an error message. In my case, the info message makes me "lazy", and I don't look to speedometer as much as needed. This setting could be switched between 4 modes: INFO / ERROR / ERROR AFTER 5Kmph / ERROR AFTER 10Kmph.

- Even in external view, I'm having some problems in exams in carreer mode that displays paths in the ground. Looking the car from above, keeping the whole car inside the marks in the ground and over the pattern drawn in the ground, executing the exercise exactly in the same way, sometimes a message appears warning that I got out the path, and sometimes it doesn't appear. Disconsider that. After more testing, I discovered that was my fault. if the front of the vehicle isn't touching the line, the alert happens even if the back of the car is over the line.

- When I'm trying to perform the parking garage in the testing area, I start the exercise, move forward ... set the transmission to "R", move back, put the whole car in the due space inside the white lines and behind the yellow dashed line (the "garage")). So, I set the auto-transmission to "P", pull the parking brake ... wait ... set the transmission to "D", release the parking brake, and start to move. Sometimes I have no problem, but other times an alert appears when I try to move again, informing that I have not passed through the yellow line, as if I have not parked in the correct location. Disconsider that. Fist of all, I wrote incorrectly above ... I need to set the auto-transmission to "N" instead of "P". Second, after more tests and training, I was unable to reproduce the problem again, but able to complete the exam. Now it does not need to look for bugs in the exams, unless somebody has found this same or another problem.

- Car acidents that represents dangerous traffic conditions (2 cars stopped in the street, one against other with hazard lights on) appears often in the same places. So, the player got used to face up with these situations in specific locations.

- Depending the international traffic rules you're using (Russian, American...) the speedometer measure doesn't correspond to the speed limit signs in the city. For example, sometimes I found signs with a "55" drawn, and I tought that was for "Kph" (I reduced the car speed to 55 on its speedometer (Kph)), but the sign was for "Mph" (corresponding to +/- 90Kph). A game option would be apreciated if it could make possible to switch the speedometer between Kph and Mph. I don't think about the speedometer texture, but I think about the pointer speed/position. So, this option could be easily adapted to different car mods, don't matter if they're using mph or kph. Another solution is to change the texture of all the speed limit signs according with the choosed option, but it's not recommended: more difficult for the development team, and isn't a good idea to change international default traffic signs (removes realism and also the personality of world countries/regions).

- Don't pause the radio when the menu appears.

- The car crashes and can be restored imediately while in the street (even for fuel loss), but there's a more enjoyable way to deal with fuel: 1 - Make it decrease slowly (a bar or percentage showing the current fuel level could be displayed in the screen, and switched on or off, to be used with car mods that doesn't allow a fuel level display on the car panel); 2 - Allow imediate refuel when the car is parking in the side of a fuel pump; 3 - The engine stops if the car is out of fuel. So, the only way to keep moving is to use the current car fix method created for the version 1.5.5. 4 - Make possible to accomplish the longest tasks after some refuel (for example, with at least 85%, 80% of fuel). So, the player can get ready for a long travel. 5 - Of course, the correct use of the transmission could reduce fuel usage (if possible, otherwise the usage can be entirely linear, only proportional to time).

- When possible, new locations with groups of cars parked near the sidewalk: some of them getting ready to move out, some of them coming and getting ready to park (frontal our reverse parking), and also, pedestrians "chattering" near the cars, getting in and out the cars too (doors getting open suddenly are a problem in real life, as well as distracted/clumsy pedestrians).

- Taxi driver mode: Each task begins with a pedestrian stopped in the sidewalk, ready for a ride, and finishes with the same pedestrian appearing outside the car (it doesn't need to be animated, neither appear inside the car). Each complete task give you some cash (appearing in the corner of the screen). Each fine (violation) removes a certain quantity of your cash. Car fixes and refuel too. If you haven't enough money to pay a fine, a message appears and you're forced to restart the world. About car fixes and refuel, if you have no money, you need to deal with it as long as you can. If there are no more possibility to move, the message appears and again you're forced to restart the world (game over)".

- Possibility to get out of the car. It could work just like the "free look" view of Counter-Strike and other games. An avatar isn't needed, neither colision. Neither the animation of the door getting open. The only requirement is the distance of the camera to the ground (like the average distance between the human eye and the ground), and the possibility to look up and down as any normal head movement. Two speeds (walk and run) and low-volume footsteps would be apreciated.

- House & Groceries mode: a mix of the last items "Taxi driver mode" and "Possibility to get out of the car", but very different. First, when the world starts, a map is displayed with points that you can select as your "home location". Second, you start on this "home location". It's just the grass or sidewalk of any "habitable" place of the city, where appears a green 3D icon of a house rotating). At this point you're in free view, outside your car, just under the green icon, and your car is parked somewhere near you. Third, a random tasks imediately appears, before you can move anywhere. Each task consists in:

  • (a) the map is shown again and don't displays a red path, but instead, a mark is shown in a specific location (the preference is for any store building in the center of the city, kinds of places people usually go to get some stuff). A message like "Go to Nice Price supermarket and buy vitamins" is displayed and you have 3 options: accept the mission with GPS, accept the mission without GPS, or don't accept the mission (this last option just offers a new mission, displaying a new location in the map with a new place to go and new item to get/buy). If you accept:...
  • (b) ...You move to the door of your empty car (the trunk is empty) and drive to the indicated place in the map (red dot with or without the GPS path, according to the option previously choosed);
  • (c) park and get out the car
  • (d) move the camera (walk) to a green 3D icon (as example) that rotates near the place/store/hospital/office... (in our case, in front of the "Nice Price Supermarket");
  • (e) A message appears saying "You bought vitamins. Take it to home.";
  • (f) The red dot position in the map changes to your "home location";
  • (g) You move (walk) to the trunk of your car and a message appears: "Itens placed in the trunk".
  • (h) You move to the door of your car and drive to your home location following the same mode of GPS previously choosed (on or off);
  • (i) You park your car and get out;
  • (j) Move (walk) to the trunk and a message appears asking if you want to take out the itens inside the trunk;
  • (k) You move (walk) to the green icon of your "house";
  • (l) If you choosed to take out the itens of the trunk, a message appears saying "Mission complete", otherwise nothing happens. :P

In additional, some tasks could consist in visit more than one place before go home. For example: A - Buy paint in John's store" / B - Deliver the paint to Mary's house / C - Buy apples and eggs in country road's farm. The player can take any ways he/she wants to accomplish the tasks. Sometimes the player can choose where he/she will go first, and other times there will be a correct order to follow. In both cases, time limit is welcome, and a stop in any fuel station is always a good idea, whenever the player wants.

This mode of game would be perfect for players who wants to train the capacity of found the own way from point A to B in the city without a GPS, and for those who feel a bit of need of reason to drive or roleplay. ;)

Suggestion :)

After commiting a fault in an exercise or exam that forces you to restart, would be very nice if the game could switch automatically (or at leas allow manual switch of) the camera to external view (a good idea is the camera rotating slowly about the car while the fault message appears in the screen asking if the user wants to restart the exercise/exam or if he/she wants to leave). This will help us a lot to understand where, when and how we've commited faults/mistakes. So, the time spent to accomplish trainings and exams with success will became shorter than usual (very usefull for new/inexperient players/drivers).


Other one: Many users are having problems with the violation message "hindrance to the vehicle is moving in opposite/same direction", even if the car being blocked were under slow speed and your action have not disturbed its secure driving condition. This kind of situation is frustrating a lot of people, mainly in long city exams. For me, as example: I'm stopped in a traffic crossing/intersection (red signal), in the imediate right lane intending to proceed with a right turn (and keeping the imediate right lane after turning). So... just when the traffic lights became green, I start to move (not too slowly, not too fast) turning about the sidewalk corner... and the violation message appears! Just because another car crossed all the intersection and moved behind me, trying to enter the same street/avenue, when I was pratically finishing my turn. I'm not a an hindrance at this moment, the other car will not crash at the back of my car. Maybe, it neither is needing to brake behind me.
I don't know if there is a mathematical logic to determine this type of violation in different traffic laws of different countries. But, if not going against traffic laws, my suggestion is: consider this type of violation only when the vehicle "blocked" was forced to reduce it's speed in at least 1/3 of it's current speed. In this case, is acceptable that you blocked a vehicle even when both of you are under very low speed (for example, suddenly changing lanes in front of another car, even under 20kph speed limit ---- by the way, other traffic cars does the same thing with us every time, right? ---- So, the other car is forced to desacelerate).
If you're in the immediate right lane of a highway, running at max speed limit, and another car enters the highway comming by the right forcing you to reduce your speed in at least 1/3, we can consider that action meant a bit of danger for you (you were "blocked"). Otherwise, if it entered the highway and you continued to feel OK with your current speed behind it (or even if you decreased your speed just a little bit), there's no violation by the other car. The traffic stills secure and you can keep looking at your mobile phone while you're driving (OMG, DON'T DO THAT!). :cheer:

The "hindrance to the vehicle moving in same direction" violation happens 4 times on it. I made one comment in the video for each case analysing the situation. For those who have some interest in this problem, I recommend to take a look in the video and the comments. ;)

Hi. In addition to the topic Cant pass driving scool City Test HELP, I'd like to suggest a change about violation messages (causing point loss during exams) that appears when a pedestrian takes his/her first step in the crosswalk when you're almost touching the crosswalk, with no time to brake. I know that respect to pedestrians is a very severe rule, and I respect it. But let's suppose the following situation (that happens a lot of times with me):

In an intersection, you are turning left and immediately faces a crosswalk with the following lanes after it:

A v / B v / C v // D ^ / E ^ / F ^
(where v and ^ mean the traffic direction)

Your turn movement is finishing and you're entering the "E" lane.
A pedestrian just stepped the "A" lane.
You were unable to percept the pedestrian intending to step the crosswalk, and even if you have realized, you were not be able to stop in time.

My suggestion for a fix is: Don't display the violation message if you're in a very short distance of the crosswalk under considerable speed (under speed limit, but difficult to brake in time) and pedestrians are not with both feet over the crosswalk for at least one second. Not even an alert message is necessary in this case.

Also, only if other users show interest and if the condition bellow doesn't represent a very serious fault depending of the international traffic laws that the player is driving under:
If you're in a very short distance of the crosswalk under considerable speed and a pedestrian is, at least, four lanes of distance from you lane (for example, you're in lane F and the pedestrian is over lane B )... an alert message can be displayed instead of a violation message.

Allow Third Person with VR
I just got an Oculus Rift for Christmas.

I set it up with CCD, and it's great. However, I would much prefer if I wasn't locked into the interior camera. I have to adjust the camera every time I pick a mod, so that I am not in the floor. Its especially worse for RHD mods.

I also cant view the car from outside. I am not interested in driving the car from the outside, but it would be nice if I could see the car I am driving before I begin.
