It's not possible to change the rules right? I'd wish that existed or at least alternatives to choose which rules to apply!
As for roundabouts I'm furious how wrong it is in this game. Can you even name a country where you gonna signal right upon entering a roundabout and when it's only allowed to exiting on the right side lane? I've EU chosen in CCD and I bet most countries in Europe (if not all) doesn't signal when entering a roundabout.
In real life situation this will just confuse the drivers that wanna enter next, if they think I'm about to take first exit as they seen me signal right they might just take off into the roundabout just as I have entered it and are about to run their lane they just about to get into.

That's weird needing to do that... here's how Australia does it (any I think everyone else?). Keep in mind that Australia drives on the left-hand side of the road.

Turning Left: Left blinker required approaching the roundabout, turn off when exited the roundabout (or when it automatically turns off).

Straight through: No blinker required, though it is courteous to signal left when exiting to let other drivers know what you're doing, but it isn't required. If on a multi-lane roundabout, a right signal may need to be used when entering the roundabout to avoid confusion as drivers might not know where you came from.

Turning Right: Right blinker required approaching the round about and driving through it, when you pass the exit before your exit, you signal left to exit the roundabout.

U-Turn/Come back the way you came: Same as above, right blinker required approaching the round about and driving through it, when you pass the exit before your exit, you signal left to exit the roundabout.

I've used your simulator while getting my driver's license. I had no car available to me while doing so, so no way of getting routine. I figured I might as well use my Oculus Rift for an actually productive purpose!

First of all: great job, wow! With the Rift the impression of being in an actual car really works. It also means that shoulder checks, using mirrors, spatial awareness when parking, etc. translates from the game into real life habits. I can attest to this personally.

On to my one-and-only feature request: bicycles. I live in a country where there are many of them. All the time.

This means that on every turn, there is something I should be aware of that simply isn't in the game. On every right turn, specifically, I have to be aware of the right side-mirror, and do a shoulder check before crossing the lane for bikes. In RL this is a life-or-death matter. The bicycles are there from time to time, and not looking out means crushing some poor dude.

For teaching purposes, it would be very nice for this aspect to be in the simulation as well (even though I realize it is mostly a thing for countries with many bicycles on the roads).

Honestly I don't care much for graphics, animations and such. I would have settled for 2D cardboard bicycles. As long as there is some sort of fast-moving traffic on the right side of your car to deal with. I realize that graphics are probably going to be the least part of this anyways. You'd need to make bicycle lanes on roads, create AI and all sorts of stuff.

Just please be aware, that while the simulation is missing this, it is missing one of the most important things a learning driver has to be aware of in cities with many bicycles.

And for the rest of you, who do not have to drive in these cities: consider yourself blessed :)

I know it's long but there're some good suggestions in their. :)

Hello developers of City car driving, I'm extremely fond of your work and I've put more hours on this game than I'd like to admit. I purchased this game off steam and have really, really enjoyed it! I have only 3 main suggestions/fixes:

1. When I'm driving on the motorway, sometimes a few cars up, a car will change into the lane I'm in. This causes everyone in front of me to slam their brakes for no real reason. I almost always crash, however that never happens in real life.

2. At intersections; specifically, i'm talking about red lights. I find that sometimes I get red light "violation message" for "driving on a red light" even though I completely cleared the intersection on a yellow light.

3. Add more stop signs instead of yield signs.

Furthermore, I think it would be cool if you could add a mode where you need to earn money by driving around/taxi-ing people and you can use that money to buy new cars (add luxury cars, sports cars, exotic car etc.). Maybe even allow credit based car loans to help buy more expensive cars. You should also be able to lose that money through expenses such as; gasoline, car repairs, tickets and maybe even insurance. The only difference with tickets is there must be a speed camera/red light camera or squad car that needs to pull you over (you can run if you choose but if caught, you'll get a more severe fine) before you get the ticket otherwise nothing happens. Also, the police should only pull people over for serious violations like speeding 30kmph over, but not 13kmph over or something that low.

If you don't want to put this in an update, I guarantee you I will buy it the first day it comes out and many others will too.

Kind Regards,
Tyrell

I beg for you to add software for electric cars and make the roads bigger in the United States;)

I suggest that you add the UK to the list of countries in the game because driving there is very different than anywhere else in the world. I have traveled around and spent time in 15 countries, and none of them has roads like the UK. An experienced driver would need further training before being able to drive safely here.

The UK roads have the following unique properties:

1) Mini roundabouts painted on the roads.

2) Chickanes.

3) Very narrow two direction roads where a driver needs to temporarily pull over to allow oncoming cars to pass by before continuing his journey.

4) Contraflow bus lanes going in the opposite direction of a one-way road

5) Special Bus lanes

6) Congestion Charge zones where all drivers entering these zones need to pay a fee of £8 a day. These zones have a red 'c' with a circle around it painted on the road and also street signs.

7) Driving on the left side of the road. While there are a few other countries that drive on the left too, the interesting part here is when crossing the Channel Tunnel between the UK and France or the opposite and somehow end up on the correct side of the road both ways to and from.

8) Very special and different road markings and signs. For example there are zigzags on the side of the road in places where you shouldn't temporarily stop.

9) Different road reflector colours for different parts.

10) Different Types of Traffic Lights.

It is awesome to be able to train reverse parking, but unfortunatelly there is no possibility to train parallel parking as there are no cars standing halfway on the street (Besides driving course). Did I miss something?

I would like to train that on free driving, not only in one lesson on the driving course.

In free driving, you can find many parking spaces like these. For example, in the 'Old City', go to the 'Test Track', and drive around until you find these parking spaces.

One thing I would like to add is automatic, but if you put it in a certain mode (sport mode for example) you can shift gears manually (sequentially), instead of having to use a manual transmission without the clutch, as some cars (mostly newer cars, but some older ones) only come in auto, but have the option to shift gears manually with flappy paddles, or have the option to have automatic with being able to shift manually (like the Commodore SS or the Corvette C7 for example)
