I always need to press it long, which can be really annoying when driving.

I’m playing with a mouse and a keyboard and this is also happening to me. When I press a click for acceleration, I need to wait 3-4 seconds before the car starts accelerating. Please, is there any fix because this mod is AWESOME and I want to play with it, but it is very hard because the car doesn’t want to accelerate properly?

Hi,

I produced the torque curve according to real world data, but unfortunately my calculation for low speed, low throttle torque was too low. I needed to have a minimum amount which was higher.

This issue is most noticeable for keyboard users, because the default settings gradually increases the throttle to max, rather than immediately going to full when pressed.

You can adjust increase the speed of the throttle pedal on keyboard in the settings. If you make it faster, the car will accelerate more and prevent the delay.

Alternatively, you can switch to a different engine as provided in the extras.

I won't be editing the mod as I am no longer interested in spending time on this issue.

Thank you very much for this response! Unfortunately, all engines have this problem, but I am very eager to adjust this myself manually if possible. You don’t have to spend time explaining me how to do it, can you just tell me the file wich needs to be adjusted - I will figure the rest by myself?

D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\City Car Driving\data\physics\Engine\VW_Golf_Mk5_by_TJ

POWER!!!.csv

Open with Excel or Notepad++

in the columns from 400-1500, increase the numbers for the 25 and 50 % throttle values. This will make the engine more responsive.

I am quite sorry, but the horn is weird (it is from vaz 2110). Same case with the Jetta as well.

It doesn't occur in the diesel version.

These cars have a weak single-tone horn IRL. Go see it on YouTube. I think TJ is right. :lol:
