Is there a mod available to make the lights flash like American/Canadian ones? If not, could someone please make this mod? I would find the driving more realistic. At this point, it definitely feels like driving in Russia, which is not bad, but confusing to me as an American.

Her, the traffic lights go from green to yellow to red. Then back to green (no yellow warning light). Also, there is no blinking of the lights, all colors are solid. When changing from green to red, the yellow light occurs for 4 seconds to make drivers aware the light is changing.

Thanks for reading and if anyone could make this mod (or maybe show me how to, and I will create it myself?) I would very much appreciate it! Thanks!

Let me rephrase. In the game I like to simluate driving conditions in my local area, and therefore would like lights such as those I see while I am out driving around my home. :dry:

To that end, I am attempting to mod the road signs to those I see in New York State.

Or we could use the "Australian Signs" that are in japanese form (wrong side of road for U.S). It would be simple, but I don't want to test.

Also, the russian lights let you know if you need to floor it through the orange light. ;P

New York road sign's are the same as the rest of America. Or at least the same in my city.

So, you don't have yellow lights (or amber in uk) in the US? They kinda of necessary so you know if the light is going to go red when you approach, so you can slow down. (or floor it)

We have yellows, 2 lights don't flash at the same time (solid red and yellow at same time).

I figured out how to do it!

In /data/config, right click on traffic_lights.ini and left click edit. I changed the [Russian] section to these values, and now I have normal working North American lights! This question was directly asked many times in the mod request thread, I am glad I could provide an answer!

[Russian]
cspRedProlongation = true
cspRedProlongationTime = 2.0

cspRedYellow = false
cspRedYellowTime = 2.0

cspYellow = true
cspYellowTime = 4.0

cspGreenBlink = false
cspGreenBlinkTime = 3.0

cspGreenAdditionalBlink = false
cspGreenAdditionalBlinkTime = 3.0

cspRedProlongationPedestrian = true
cspRedProlongationPedestrianTime = 3.0

cspGreenReductionPedestrian = true
cspGreenReductionPedestrianTime = 3.0

cspGreenBlinkPedestrian = true
cspGreenBlinkPedestrianTime = 3.0

unfortunately it will not let me upload.ini file, and if I change it to .txt for you it would probably just be easier for you to edit it than download and change extension....Just edit the original by changing the few values from tru to false like I did above and save the file. if you are unsure, just make a copy of this file first. all you can possibly mess up is the traffic lights and they are already messed up =D

it is found in City Car Driving Home Edition/Data/config/traffic_lights.ini
