Creating a mod post seems like a very simple thing. This topic are some tips & guidelines on making your post.

1: Cite the original author. Nobody likes when their work is not appreciated, so when you post a mod, credit all contributors to the mod.

2: Add original links. In line with the above guideline, respect the link. Give the authors credit. If they use adf.ly or DepositFiles to make a few bucks off their links, respect that. If they never used adf.ly, don't add your own.

3: Include the version of the game. Nobody wants to download a mod for an old version. Include the version of the game to avoid confusion.

4: Embed images. Although this cannot be enforced, this is something that a lot of users will find beneficial. Links cannot provide a safe gateway. Use websites like imgur.com or attach your pictures to the post. It is safer, and makes the topic look a lot better.

5: Do not post and already posted mod. Nobody needs a mod posted twice, just don't do it.

6: Screenshots must be from the latest version of the game. If not applied, the topic will be deleted.

7: You must state the version of the game an updated mod was originally from.

If anybody has recommendations for other guidelines, leave them below and I'll add them.

I think Mods should be looked at by someone before being posted to make sure it's not just using other parts of another mod. Now obviously if they just use like 1 mienute texture it's fine. But like a whole physics file or something shouldn't be allowed.
Computer Specs (One Final Update - Wednesday, June 8th, 2022):
16" MacBook Pro
[Processor] M1 Pro
[RAM] 32GB 6400MHz LPDDR5
[Storage] 1TB PCIE Gen. 4 NVMe
[Graphics] 16-core integrated GPU

To the good times.

Peace.

Rule #2 has been updated.

BEFORE:
2: Add original links. In line with the above guideline, respect the link. Give the authors credit. If they use adf.ly or DepositFiles to make a few bucks off their links, respect that.

AFTER
2: Add original links. In line with the above guideline, respect the link. Give the authors credit. If they use adf.ly or DepositFiles to make a few bucks off their links, respect that. If they never used adf.ly, don't add your own.

I think that when someone posts a mod, it should be checked by someone to ensure it doesn't have any type of virus, malware, etc.

In the history of the forum, never has there ever been a virus in a mod.

Actually it's not a bad idea. But: for example GSHAPIROY has over 50 files uploaded on this forum. I think every modder/member should be controlled not every time you post a mod because you don't want to have to wait several days before the file is checked.
Love Mercedes-Benz, Aston Martin and basically any British or German car brand.
