I haven't done normal lightmaps in a while, I strongly recommend the vray. From memory, you can just keep the original texture with those lightmaps.

Some vehicles, like heavy duty trucks dont have a traditional hitch either. You do not have to do this step, but if you have a normal car, I recommend it.
