TOPIC: Adding country to Localization menu.

Adding country to Localization menu. 27 Aug 2015 13:38 #50413

Hey team,

I'm needing to add a country into the Localization menu so that I can change between Countries (for example, change from Australia to New Zealand).

I cant seem to find what files will allow me to add a new country "New Zealand" into the drop down list and then set the game to the required rules/ cars/ light phases/ license plates etc.

Does anyone know what files I need to edit?

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

Currently the only way to do that is by installing mods. You can find the instructions on how to install it in the "instructions" section of the link.

Currently available countries are:

North America
Lebanon
Dutch (motorway signs only)

All the pages can be found by looking in the "mods" section.

Hope this helped :)

Thanks Spoutnik,

I am building the mod myself. I have modified the license plates, traffic lights, police and ambulances etc and have all ready to install but cant seem to find how to get them set up without replacing the files in another country (ie changing "Italy" to become "Australia").

I will download one of the above mods and snoop around and see what files they changed.

Appreciate it.

So I am creating a "New Zealand" mod for CCD. I have created NZ police cars, Ambulance etc, created NZ license plates and other things like changing the traffic light phases to match what we have here in NZ.

What I need to do now is be able to select "New Zealand" from the localization drop down box so that it sets the game to use all the NZ mods and cars etc.

But I cant see what file contains this list of countries and how they set the game to use different license plates etc...

(apologies for the really bad pictures, cant screen grab ATM)

In this menu here (With Deutsch, English, Francais, Cestina and Australia) I need to add "New Zealand".

Hello,

As I understand you use the Enterprise edition. Unfortunately there's no New Zealand there. Enterprise edition can't be edited/modded at all.

Enterprise?

What are the differences?

Also, how did you get the Holden in the traffic?
