It's time for the big Autumn update of City Car Driving! The simulator has been updated to version 1.5.9

Let's take a look what we've prepared for you in this release:

➤ New feature - a service station.

In this new version we added a new feature - a car repair without restarting your driving session, right during the driving in the free driving mode.

In case of a malfunction, you can either drive to the service station by yourself or "teleport" there on a tow truck.

In case of a major malfunction (for example, steering or braking system failure, etc.) you must visit a service station in order to repair your vehicle, just like in a real life.

For perfoming transportation missions on a faulty vehicle, the user gets lower rating.

Also we changed the emergency situations algorithm. Now they appear less often.

➤ Improved the big navigator screen.

Now you can:

Scroll the map with the left mouse button within its display area.

Double-click the left mouse button to set a destination point on the map in order to pave the route to it.

New various objects are marked on the map now - in addition to fuel stations: large car parkings, hypermarkets, service stations, monuments.

And some temporary marks of the destination and intermediate points of the route: the key point of passenger and cargo transportation and the destination point of a randomly generated or manually set route.

➤ Changing the weather, time of day or traffic density right during the driving.

Now you can select the time of day, weather conditions, traffic density and behavior without restarting the virtual world.

➤ New city exam.

A new generated route in the new city will be issued to the user in the basic mode of the career instead of the old one.

The old route was always the same, but the new one is randomly generated each time and has a lot of options for training.

For Australian profile the old version of the city exam is kept.

➤ Added Canadian localization: new emergency vehicles, road signs, license plates, fines, “special” right turn on red.

➤ Added a new light commercial vehicle with automatic transmission in 2 versions: freight and freight-passenger, with the option of driving with a trailer.

➤ Added a new SUV with automatic transmission.

➤ Expanded the choice of right-hand drive cars by adding cars that previously had only left-hand drive versions.

➤ Added an option to couple and uncouple a trailer.

➤ Now all the monuments are in their permanent places, regardless of the selected city decoration.

➤ Now you can select the language directly in the simulator itself, but not only in the Steam client.

➤ Added Kazakh localization, that earlier was available only in the website version of the simulator.

➤ Made the virtual world more realistic.

➤ Optimized graphics and performance.

Is this a joke? Have we waited seven months for this? There are millions of things that could improve the game and make it more enjoyable and realistic. Starting with new features and new details in vehicles. Nothing has been done; even, in the characteristics of the vehicles, we have regressed . Service stations do not make sense without changing the vehicle damage system. The rest are minor change, some totally unnecessary. I'm sorry I have to write these lines, but I'm really disappointed. Only ones who can be happy are the modders who sell their cars. This way, they won't need to modify them. Ccd will be more and more mediocre, outdated and boring, but of course mods will remain unchanged.
By the way, the game is continually crashing, impossible to play it. Although really, for what it serves it doesn't matter too much either.

changing traffic density while driving is pretty neat for the next time I decide to fire up the game.

With that being said, I didn't even know they were working on an update, and for anyone who has played the game for some odd years updates are definitely more frequent now than ever before. I don't know what y'all were expecting, but the game is fairly old, I can't image the devs are earning great deals of money off of it anymore, and I am actually impressed they are still working on it and not just scrapping it for City Car Driving 2 on some new platform.

Good update, I like it. Especially the RHD cars, and thanks for taking on my request to uncouple trailers!

Is there any way to unlock the new multi-passenger van, without getting a 3 Star rating on the "RUBER" app? Seems the profile tool doesn't touch the newer features... I'm a bit lazy and don't feel like having to battle with the game physics in order to get it, don't judge me please, haha.

Hmm, maybe there'll be a way to bypass it soon... If not, I'm not going to go through all the trouble of getting "3 rating" on "RUBER" and "CarGo", especially when the game is a bit unstable...
