TOPIC: Google cardboard + Trinus VR support

Google cardboard + Trinus VR support 23 Apr 2020 19:26 #114229

I have tried to publish in another topic already opened but idk why I couldnt.

I would like to use my phone with a cardboard or another device to emulate a VR Glass. A few games can be played with that technique including Eurotruck Simulator 2.

If you can't make it happen (please explain why if possible), let me know if there is any solution to make the mouse pointer as the source of camera control. I can pretty much make the gyroscope of the phone work as the mouse pointer and would easily attach that to my forehead to have the control of the internal view in the car.

Right now I cannot select VR in the view options (it is gray).

Hello. Unfortunately, you cannot. The game officially supports only Oculus Rift and HTC Vive VR headsets.

Particularly Riftcat crashes here. But iVRy seems to be working, although my computer doesnt have a nice GPU to work with SteamVR.

Id like to know if someone has tested with both of this softwares and could confirm before I upgrade my setup to match the steamVR needs.

Just found a great solution! I'm using the cellphone gyroscope as a mouse. Just downloaded the software to simulate it in www.monect.com and enabled the mouse 3d option.

After that I just configured the game to automatically enable the view with the mouse pointer and its sensibility, a button in the wheel to centralize the first view and found a way to fix the phone in my head. Particularly I tried a bicycle helmet and the VR One Plus structure and both worked pretty well (the last one was more physically stable).

Moreover just have a button in place also for the back view. This pretty much solved all my issues. No need for any fancy 3d glasses.
