after more than 2 years of not playing ccd i decided to give it a try again

so i downloaded the game via steam, its already activated but when launching it its not completing the installation properly and just closes after some seconds, ive done some research on that and found a post that seemed to be helpful since the guy had the same problem like me (www.citycardriving.com/forum?view=topic&catid=5&id=102638#:~:text=Turn%20off%20the%20Steam%20cloud,synchronization%20for%20City%20Car%20Driving%E2%80%9D.)

just like he said i installed the game also via the website and copied win32 of the non steam version to the steam version, but after that the .exe in the steam folder opens the non steam version of the game which is unplayable since my key got changed to a steam key - i have no clue what else i can do to make it running properly

i also tried to reinstall several times (with removing the folder that remains after uninstalling), turning off steam cloud sync, run as administrator, disabling anti virus - (openvr_api.dll) is not missing tho

in the past it worked just fine so i really wonder why it isnt now
