TOPIC: (Steam) Game Crashes on Start up

(Steam) Game Crashes on Start up 02 Dec 2020 00:55 #114981

Hey Y'all
Hope everyone is staying safe!
I've had this game a while and all of a sudden it has stopped working. When I clock "play" on steam it runs for two second with a black screen and a white boarder and then crashes without an error message. I have tried everything I can find. I have validated the files but after every time I try to play it, it always say 1 file missing and the reacquires it. Then when I validate it again it says all files verified, then after clicking play the cycle starts. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted, verified, etc. all to no avail. I cant even find the file that is supposedly missing. Any help is appreciated ;)
Gracias

Try these:

1. Install DirectX and Visual C++ components from this folder manually, go to this folder -
"...Steam\steamapps\common\City Car Driving\_CommonRedist\" and install all the components from there.

In some cases this folder can be located in a different place - "... Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared".

2. Update your video card driver to the latest version from your video card manufacturer's website.

3. Update your sound card driver to the latest version from your sound card manufacturer's website.

4. If you're using a racing wheel (or any other controller), update its driver to the latest version from your controller manufacturer's website.

5. Turn off any antivirus or firewall software.

6. Check the game cache integrity in Steam client.

7. Turn off the Steam cloud profile synchronization for City Car Driving – open your Steam client, click on City Car Driving with right mouse button and choose “Properties” from the context menu. Then open the tab “Updates” and there turn off the option “Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for City Car Driving”.

8. Delete the folder "Forward Development" from your "My Documents" folder.

Then run the game again.

Hello,

If the game worked fine earlier, but then suddenly stopped, it can be caused by third-party mods or broken configuration. Maybe some mods' traces remained. Try these steps:

1. Unsubscribe from all mods.

2. Uninstall the game in Steam.

3. Manually delete the folder, where the game has been installed (it will remain after uninstallation) – …\Steam\SteamApps\common\City Car Driving

5. Delete the folder "Forward Development" from your "My Documents" folder.

6. Install the game again.

Hello!
I'm very sorry but even after a full reinstall the game will still not start
I'm sorry that this has been a waste of your time and sometimes gets fixed whenever the next update will be which I understand may be a while. There is no rush i was just trying to figure out why this may happen.
apologies
