Hi!

I love this game, and with my Oculus Quest 2 (I also tried with Oculus Quest 1) it works very well when I use Oculus Link, but if I use Virtual Desktop, it stutters a lot when I move my head, and I feel motion sick so fast. I use the same settings in City Car Driving on both Link and VD.

Any tip? Can the developers try it and see if they have the same? I have a RTX3070, also tried with GTX 1050. I have also tried to tweak with setting in Steam and within City Car Driving, but no luck.

Thanks!

Hello,

Please note that the game officially supports only Oculus Rift and HTC Vive VR headsets.

Also please take into account these advices if you use VR with City Car Driving:

- Update your VR headset software & drivers.
- Update your video card driver to the latest version.
- Make sure you connect your VR headset before(!) starting the game.
- Do not launch/use SteamVR. If SteamVR is already running – close it before launching the game. Then just run the game in a usual way and select the VR output in the in-game settings menu.
- VR activates only after the driving session start (it does not work in the main menu).
- If you feel you still need to make lower motion sickness effects you can try disabling some of the camera inertion effects as described here - steamcommunity.com/app/493490/discussions/0/3277925755433585773/

P.S.: Vive Pro and Rift S should work.

Regarding the Index, Quest and Cosmos - for now we do not have these headsets by our hands, and do not have plans to supported them in near future. Sorry.

I have the same problem as the OP. Can you clarify the steps to "Do not launch/use SteamVR?" When I try to launch the game from the starter.exe, it launches Steam anyway. If I manually quit SteamVR and launch the game, it launches in Monitor only mode and VR doesn't work. If I turn the setting back to Monitor+VR, then relaunching the game will automatically launch SteamVR. I have not been able to turn on VR without SteamVR launching.

I mean - make sure it not already launched before(!) launching the game. It should be launched automatically by the game.

fromNIam,
I had no idea that citycardriving will work with Oculus Quest 2 connected via Oculus Link connection method. I was actually just looking for that information. I hope i understood you correctly.

Thanks in advance!
