TOPIC: Logitech G920 not working, but only for CCD

Logitech G920 not working, but only for CCD 24 Nov 2021 17:58 #115905

Hello, all! I am trying to connect my Logitech G920 to CCD, as always, but it doesn't seem to work. If I start the game with the wheel unplugged, upon loading into a car, the wheels of the car are facing straight ahead, as they should be. As SOON as I plug in my wheel, the wheels of the car go into a full left lock, and I can't move the wheel at all whatsoever. Even if I start the game with the wheel already plugged in - as should be done - the game still doesn't work properly with the wheel.

I have used my wheel many times with City Car Driving, yet it now doesn't seem to be working. Any help is much appreciated, thank you and have a good day!

I'm having the same problem.

It works fine if I haven't used the wheel for other games, but if I use City Car Driving after using the wheel in games like Assetto Corsa, it causes the problem.

The only solution I have at the moment is to reboot the computer.

Hello,

Maybe other games launches some Logitech software for wheels which may cause the issue. Check if any Logitech utilities are launched after playing other games and if yes - close them before launching CCD.

Also - what wheel driver/software version do you use?

I am using Logitech G HUB with the latest drivers. As I said, the wheel works fine if used with any other game - it is only City Car Driving which has this issue, leading me to think that it may be a bug.

First of all – reset all the in-game controls to default (if you tried setup it earlier).

Then quit the game and before starting the game again, please perform these steps:

1. Re-install your wheel/controller driver the latest version from your controller manufacturer's website.
2. Calibrate your wheel/controller and check if it works correctly in Windows.
3. Please note that you should connect your wheel/controller to the PC and wait until the very end of its auto calibration strictly before(!) launching the simulator.
4. Go to Steam > Settings > Controller > General Controller Settings
and deactivate everything there.

After that start the game and follow the directions below:

First, check if your wheel/controller has the ready settings preset in the game controls menu. If it has one – just select your wheel/controller from the dropdown list. Everything should work automatically from this point.

If your wheel/controller does not have a ready preset select the “default” preset from the dropdown list. Then you have to assign buttons and axes in the game settings manually. To do that you should double-click with the left mouse button on every action in the list and then push the proper button or pedal on your wheel/controller to assign this button or pedal for this action.
