Most cars have steering wheels that rotate about 1.25 turn to each side. So is my Logitech G29 wheel. That's 900° (equals to 1.25*2*360).
But the cars in CCD have steering wheels that rotate 1.5 turn to each side. That's 1080° (equals to 1.5*2*360).
The implication of this is that the image of the steering wheel we see on the screen is different than that of the physical wheel: the two are "out of sync".
While this doesn't seem like a problem (as we can ignore the wheel on the screen), what about when using VR goggles?
When using VR, we can't see the physical wheel but have to rely in the imaginary wheel on screen. Problem is, if we wanted to press any of the keys on the physical wheel, we won't be able to know where to press, because the onscreen wheel is at a different position than the physical one...
(That's my guess. I haven't yet bought VR goggles, so I can't try this out. I'd like to know if I'm wrong on this.)
