TOPIC: Steam game not open

Steam game not open 29 Nov 2022 17:42 #116633

Hello, I bought the game on steam yesterday and today when I try to open the game the error 0xc000012f appears. It says there is an error in some dll.

I searched for everything on the internet, I found some solutions like:

1. Delete the Forward Dev folder
2. Reinstall Visual C++ and Direct X (In the steam folder)
3. Dxdiag
4. I uninstalled some programs that could cause a conflict
5. Updated all drivers
6. I reinstalled the game
7. I removed the game from the steam cloud
8. I checked the integrity of the files in steam

My computer has the following specifications:
Geforce GTX 1050TI
Ryzen 5 3600

I believe everything is within the recommended range.

I've tried everything and nothing works, could you help me? The error is what is in the screenshot, this error appears when trying to open the game through the game's steam win32 folder.

Hello,

1. Perform a full antivirus scan of your PC.

2. Perform an integrity check of your operation system. You can do it by opening console (cmd) or PowerShell as administrator and and execute these commands there:

sfc /scannow

dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

After that:

1. Install DirectX and Visual C++ components from this folder manually, go to this folder -
"...Steam\steamapps\common\City Car Driving\_CommonRedist\" and install all the components from there.

In some cases this folder can be located in a different place - "... Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared".

2. Update your video card driver to the latest version from your video card manufacturer's website.

3. Update your sound card driver to the latest version from your sound card manufacturer's website.

4. If you're using a racing wheel (or any other controller), update its driver to the latest version from your controller manufacturer's website.

5. Turn off any antivirus or firewall software.

6. Check the game cache integrity in Steam client.

7. Turn off the Steam cloud profile synchronization for City Car Driving – open your Steam client, click on City Car Driving with right mouse button and choose “Properties” from the context menu. Then open the tab “Updates” and there turn off the option “Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for City Car Driving”.

8. Delete the folder "Forward Development" from your "My Documents" folder.

Well, thanks for your help. But none of these steps worked, I just asked for the refund of the game by steam, unfortunately, because I wanted to enjoy the game... What I had was a headache and wasted time.

It's a shame, because the game looks really cool. But anyway, thank you very much for your attention!
