I am desperately trying to unlock the crown jewel of the game, the Peugeot, but the 'Traffic light monitoring' mission is preventing me due to the automatic gearbox not working. It simply will not change gear into 'D'. I've changed the custom keyboard controls to joystick controls, does that matter? And if so, how can I fix it?

If you're using the car with an automatic transmission, press and hold the brake pedal, then switch to the "D" gear (use gear up\gear down keys to do it).
