TOPIC: 30 deg to the left for steering wheel be centered

30 deg to the left for steering wheel be centered 04 Nov 2013 07:06 #17885

Hello,
Ive got a little problem. My steering wheel is the Logitech® MOMO® Racing Force Feedback Wheel and when i start the simulation inside the car, the steering wheel is always off-centered and always need to turn it 30 degrees to the left to have it centered.
This isnt right, as it does not provide with a real sense of steering.
Hope you can help.
Best regards.

Have you tried recalibrating the wheel? Simply unplug it, then plug it back in XD

On the Logitech Profiler, try creating a separate profile for CCD. This happened to someone else before, and that solved the problem ;) .

Hi again,
Its still the same, about to start driving, the steering wheel is physically centered, but on the simulator, its still a bit to the right...

Maybe some fiddling with the config files..?

Is your wheel still in warranty? I have a few mates who had this exact problem with their Logitech wheels; Logitech replaced them without fuss.

I have had the MoMo before too, but I bought the Logitech G27 for the game now.

The MoMo doesn't support the degrees as the wheel can only turn 70/80 degrees? I had problems too with calibrating and centering. The wheel can't be fully centered.

The only thing you can do is to unplug the cable at the acceleration/brake ''island''. That little cable left of it (if there is one). It removes the force feedback and lets you center it yourself.

Only option.

Hi everyone,
First i have to thank all of you how take some time to think about my issue with this car sim, thanks again :)
I seemed to have found the solution, its quite silly actually :P On the calibration section, it needs to be calibrated to the left first and then afterwards to the right. Apparentely if you do it the other way around, it gets all messed up.
Hence, i am now fully able to drive around. Hope that this helps someone else too :)
Cheers and best regards to you all!
