If the frequency is changing its because of the turbo mode, though it depends what you overclocked by.. Core Multiplier? Turbo Multiplier? FSB Clock?
It depends if you want a permanent clock, with turbo disabled and cpu remains at one clock speed.
or have it overclock only when it a game, or cpu intensive application, In that case you just change the turbo multiplier as I said before :)

With your CPU you could go well above 4GHz but.. I wouldn't recommend going too high with a stock cooler, even if temps aren't that high.. but if when running Prime95 your temps never go over 60c then you are fine as Prime95 forces all cores/threads at 100% and there is no real world application or game that will do this to the cpu for any length of time so your real temperatures will never be that high :)

EDIT: Oh and Prime95 for 20 minutes is not enough to confirm its fully stable.. for 100% insurance of stability you'd need 12-24 hours constantly running Prime95 as problems can occur once components heat up more and a good few hours stress on the CPU.

For some reason my computer is less laggy with Direct X 9 than 11. I don't have a professional gaming computer but yeah the mods make it more laggy which makes my subscribers say
"LAGGGGG"
"Dude So Much LAGG"
"Get A Faster Computer"
"Your Driving Sucks"
"This GAME SUCKS SO MUCH LAG"
Happy subscribers!
"Nice video"
"I like the car"
"I'm gonna get this game"

As I said I've done everything according to that video, that includes disabled all CPU power saving options and also disabling Turbo mode ofcourse. The multiplier changes for just half a second time to time while doing the p95 test and when I play I don't notice any sudden lag so I guess it's supposed to do that.
Yeah I know you should be running it for that long but I never play any games or use my computer to 100% cpu usage on each core so I don't really have to worry, I guess it would be enough to test it for 1-2 hours for me :)
Oh and btw. this is pretty interesting, my temps are really low. Stock voltage, 3.85Ghz didn't change temps at all maybe by 1C, it's now at 26C idle and 46C while playing BF3 on high for example.
My chassi is: antec vsk4000e
Fans at medium power: front and side
Back fan is att full power or almost (1900rpm, coolermaster sickleflow). That's what I don't understand by the way it's supposed to go at 2000rpm at full power... but it does not?
And ofc. stock cpu cooler, top mounted PSU.
Seems to be really good airflow :woohoo:

Not all Asus computers are fast, so not all Asus computers can run CCD with high graphics. And brand doesn't make your PC fast, it's the specifications of the hardware ;) .

Btw do NOT load CCD on ANY model Acer. They suck with computers!

I'm pretty sure there are good Acer PCs ;) . Can't confirm this though, since my PC has parts from different brands.
