TOPIC: City Car Driving: Question about Licenses

City Car Driving: Question about Licenses 17 Nov 2013 08:49 #18455

Hello,

I'm tempting to buy this, and I read in the important information that when you buy a license it is for one computer only.

My question is though if I were to get a new computer, uninstall CCD from the old computer and install it on the new one, would the license still be valid for the new computer? Or would it be stuck to the old one even though I uninstalled the game?

And as well as that, if I were to uninstall it on a computer, and later on reinstall it, the license would still be valid right?

Off-topic note, I see you entered Steam Greenlight (congratulations on being greenlit), if I were to have a license of the game before the Steam release, would current owners who have a Steam account be gifted with a Steam Key? I use Steam alot and it would be handy for me to have the game on there when the time comes.

Thank you for your patience in reading this, I might seem a bit concerned and hopefully I won't have to be buying licenses everytime I reinstall.

You buy one license, and you can use it on as many computers as you like (one at a time though) So if you bought a new computer, and installed CCD on there, then you'd be able to re-use the serial key.
I know nothing about what the developers are doing about Steam, so I think it might be too early to be answering Steam related questions. :)

Alright cheers mate,

Time to buy then I suppose :)

This game/simulator is pretty good looking from what I saw on Youtube, can't wait to try it with my G27, I have alot of fun with Euro Truck 2 so I expect the same with this.

Yes, if your PC will be crashed or you will need to change it, you may use your license and obtain a new acitvation key without paying again. But in fact your license is valid for the only one particular computer. That means if you wish to use the game on more computers simultenously, you should purchase more licenses.
