Glad to see this topic brought up again. I have previously been arguing for just how important a feature this will be for CCD:

Good to hear that shipping to Russia is now possible, hoping to hear that this is being worked on soon :)

As I know even the coming retail version will not be HD version.

The consumer/retail edition will have at least a 1080p display (which is HD, but since the field of view is so big, it is actually still rather low-res). They have already shown the HD prototype on several occasions.
Its anybodys guess what resolution the first consumer edition will have, but it will be >= 1080p and <= 4k :)

The devs are in Russia, and I'm not sure if they have the Rift there (do they?). But I want support for the Rift too  .
We've tried to purchase it, but without success yet - our customs didn't let it pass.
this sounds rather like a lame excuse. was there absolutely no other way to obtain rift? i doubt so. there are many people from russia who own the rift. you are just lazy developers.

I don't think they're making excuses, it isn't an unrealistic scenario.

After a quick search I found this: oculus-rift.ru/

The oculus rift site in Russian, so maybe they can ship to Russia now.

Hello kivlov,

yes please try this, as we are all with you on this project, and I am sure every one is ready to pay an extra 20 bucks to support the devs.

lets make a list of all the one ready to pay for it, and let's pay it upfront!
why not?

send me a form, I'll pay right away without any question

It seems I had outdated information. Our Oculus Rift hass arrived! And we've made some tests with it already. The image quality is rather bad on it. We're disappointed...

hello,
sorry to hear that, I do use the Sony HMZ-T2, coupled with a Track IR, of course the quality is not as good compare to the computer screen, but quite ok though.....
I was expecting much from the OCULUS RIFT :(
anyway, maybe, just need a good fine tunning ?

lets not give up too easily :)

I think they need more time than a day or two to get it working properly, but a demo or beta test when it's ready might be fun. I don't have a rift, though. I might get one if CCD supports it as ETS 2 supports rift and looks really cool with it.
