TOPIC: First time user, question: brake/pedal sensitivity

First time user, question: brake/pedal sensitivity 02 Jan 2014 02:06 #20853

First, neat game you got here :) I bought it to teach a family member to drive and it seems really useful and realistic.

My Problem:
I am using a Logitech Driving Force GT wheel with City Car Driving. The brake and accelerator are too sensitive (100% when I only press about 33% pressure on the pedals). Logitech's own configuration tool registers the sensitivity as ok. I think the problem is with some configuration in the game.

I tried messing with the pedal sensitivity in-game settings but those are apparently for the keyboard only. I also messed around with linearity/dead zone settings but after spending a lot of time tweaking them I realized that won't solve the problem.

I'm not experienced with driving games/wheel configs, so I'm hoping someone here has a solution. Did some searching but didn't see any answers. Is this a config problem or a fix for a future update?

If there is a way to hack files to make it work i'm ok with that too.

Thanks!

Try deleting the folder "Forward Development" under "Documents" and try re-assigning your controls. When assigning the pedals, be sure to depress it fully and not just halfway.

But that will also delete all achievements, penalties, (basically all user history), right?
