TOPIC: CCD freeze lag?

CCD freeze lag? 14 Mar 2014 21:46 #24515

Hello. I purschased Logitech G27 and CCD yesterday. First of all i want to say that this is a GREAT game. Big up to the developers!!

If i drive with no traffic/pedestrians, it only lags when i go over 300km/h, that is not bothering me so much. The thing is that when i drive with usual traffic/a little pedistrians. It goes a little slow + freeze for maybe 2 seconds every 20 seconds. It is really annoying and is very hard to drive. I know my way around computers, nothing is wrong with my drivers and they are all up to date etc. I have all graphics on high except that Shadows and AA is turned off. I also play using Direct X 11 since 9 dosen't look good at all.

Specs:

CPU: Intel i7 950 @3.07 GHz
RAM: 16 GB
GPU: EVGA Geforce 470 GTX (Superclocked)
Operating System: Windows 7 x64

I'm also using an SSD hard drive.

So what can i do to fix the freeze lag? Do i have to wait for an update?

Greetings!

Some users experience extreme lag. This game isn't really well-optimized, so you might wanna try lowering your graphics settings a bit :) . Here's a note from a developer:Kivlov wrote:
Our current graphical engine makes optimizing of it very difficult. Of course you can say - just change that bad engine then. But it means that we have to rebuild the whole game from scratch.

I suppose we all just have to be patient. In any case the simulator will continue to evolve.
