TOPIC: Congratulations!

Congratulations! 24 Dec 2010 00:17 #267

Congratulations on the release of this simulation game :). I'm one of the many F5'ers who were waiting for the release so its no suprise i bought it the second I saw it was released. It's even still downloading now :). I enjoyed the russian version (even while everything was guessing for me :D) so i'm sure I'll enjoy this one too.

Thanks CityCarDriving team for your great work! :)

I'm happy to say the game works great on my laptop with all settings on max and with my steering wheel :). Everything works as expected. Again, great job! Lets see if I can drive 10 minutes with no accidents and such :D.

Congratulations indeed!

Graphics : very very good feeling of immesion! Lighting, reflections, objects textures, effects, detailed cockpit, all very nice, it's visible lots of effort has been put in here. Only this is well worth the 20$. Track IR working flawlessly.

AI: also good, they seem to react well, traffic is ok, still I believe momentum should be stronger, the movements of traffic participants should be smoother.

Physics: good enough for the game's purpose. It would be nice to have more realustic tyre behavior, especially in the wet, but this may be a difficult thing to do.

Map: Nice, for a while, but I really hope you will keep adding new pieces to it.

Wheel implementation and feedback: here I have some problems. Although there is friction, there is no spring to center when in movement, the wheel feeling too flimsy and giving a feel of lack of control that one has in real life. Is there some setup I missed? I dont want to do it from the wheel profiler because it is stupid to have it all the time. It shoud appear only in movement.

System requirements: well I have a decent video card (GT9600) card and a E8500 dual core at 3.4 ghz and even on medium settings I would feel better with a higher framerate. (btw, can we have it displayed?)

Thanks again,

How long does it take to process, really? C'mon I'm anxious to play this!

EDIT: It processed, I love it other then the fact that I can't use my pedals, it does NOT support multiple controllers! Can you guys try to get it to pick up my Bodnar box? It won't let me map the accelerator/decelarator/clutch at ALL to my pedals UGH!

You do something wrong. Try double click gas line in menu and after that press gas pedal and hold it until menu recognize it as pedal (it takes about 2 seconds)
