TOPIC: Wobbly clutch in Parallel Parking mission.

Wobbly clutch in Parallel Parking mission. 18 Jun 2014 20:25 #30340

I am not quite sure if this a bug or a feature.

I am using G27 and driving on left lane. In the Parallel Parking mission, the clutch seems to work wobbly.

Based on my experience, when I use Reverse gear and release the clutch half way, the car should have gained some low speed (similar to the situation using 1st gear). And it works that way when the car is outside the parking area. However, as soon as I drive into the practicing area (past the start line), the clutch won't work with reverse gear. That means, if I use reverse gear and release the clutch half way, the car won't move at all. If I slowly apply the throttle just as normal, the car won't gain any speed but at some certain point (randomly during 2K~3K RPM), the car will suddenly gain a speed of 3 or 4 (speed meter displays 1 but it's definitely not 1 kmph).

In other missions, the clutch works just as expected with reverse gear.

So is this an expected behavior in that particular mission?

Hello,
I think it's something wrong with that car's physics files, or it could just simply be realism. On cars in the game modeled after new cars (Toyota Corolla etc.), the clutch works just fine, but since the car used in this mission is an old VAZ, which has less than 90 hp and very little torque, it's possible that it's just how the car is :) .
