TOPIC: My Logic3 Steering Wheel doesn't work correctly!

My Logic3 Steering Wheel doesn't work correctly! 27 Jul 2014 05:39 #32282

I have a Logic3 Steering Wheel which is designed to run on PS3 and PC (you know....to save a few bucks), but unfortunately, the game doesn't really want to correspond with it.

Here's what is happening:

I change the settings to the steering wheel and change all the settings to how I like it.
I then get to the Left - Right sections and try to change the settings to my steering wheel turning left and right.
I double click and turn the the steering wheel left (hint: this is the -x axis) and nothing comes up
I then try the right and turn the steering wheel all the way to the right, and guess what, it comes up with the x axis.
I then try the left over and over again, occasionally trying the right to see if it works, and it does.
I tried to find an option to calibrate it in my control panel and driver updates. The drivers were up to date but I couldn't find the calibrate button. I assumed this was because this is a wireless steering wheel so, therefore, it only reads the receiver plugged into the PC.

I tried again a few times, but to no avail. So I decide to test out the right steering before 'tinkering' with the controls, and guess what, it doesn't turn right even when it says x axis!

I have no idea how to calibrate the steering wheel, so I assume it does it automatically. I could send a post of the picture of my steering wheel, because I cannot remember the name of my steering wheel. All I know is it's not a very popular one, so I found no help online.

Here's a link to a website with a few facts about it if you were wondering:

It works really well on games such as NFS World and all the other driving games for PC - ETS for example

I turned the wheel left as fast as I could when it asked to assign. I just kept doing it until it worked.

I did this for the pedals too, I just rapidly pressed them until they registered on the control assignment.

I have a Logitech G27 wheel by the way.

The game works fine once I'm actually driving though, no need to rapidly press the pedals to accelerate, only needed to do it for the button assignment.

I tried it about 30-40 times but I'll try again today. I'll update on whether it works or not.
Mine isn't a G27, and my pedals are, unfortunately, counted as buttons instead of axis, so there's no point of acceleration. It's either all or nothing, as they say

I worked finally. I found that if you turn the wheel slightly to the right, maybe 10-20 degrees, and then double-click and then turn all the way to the left, then it works. I now have another problem but that belongs on a different topic
