Oh ok, dang, why is it there in the first place :D
To train drivers to react quickly and safely when a driver in the opposite land poorly estimates an overtake and ends up staying in the wrong side of the road longer than he expected.

Basically, it trains drivers to avoid potential head-on collisions caused by an overconfident driver who poorly estimates an overtake.

Cars entering from the left lanes in a roundabout use their left turn signal instead of right.

When switching lanes on a solid white lane (before a traffic light on an avenue), there is no penalization in the game (while there is in real life).

The slider for changing the traffic density doesn't seem to work because every single setting I put it on except 0% seems to spawn the same amount of traffic.

On 100%, I see traffic spawning densely for a few seconds, then it the game downgrades to what seems like 40% traffic. And for the first few seconds, there isn't even a stop-and-go traffic jam, like the ones I was used to when I had 1.2.5.

I had to haxorize the game a bit by diving into the config file and change the traffic density to like 2.0, and now the traffic is pretty dense. It spawns in big clumps, but there isn't any of the traffic jams, like, there is a lot of traffic, and it does move a little slower, especially on the highways, but it's not a jam. Meaning, traffic still mostly runs smoothly.

I understand that the AI has evolved over time, and the code for it could be totally different than it used to be, and it works very different now. I understand that.
But in real life, there is stop-and-go traffic. In this game, which has the goal of simulating real life traffic situation, there is none.

At least add a toggle for stop-and-go traffic, for people who want fast moving traffic, but still very dense, and for people who want the traditional stop-and-go that is common on the roads (when there is lots of traffic).
Halt, Tropfen und explodieren.

p.s. i like topgear and stuffs yey

The reason for -stop go- traffic jams occurring is people switch lanes for no reason! I have sometimes created traffic jams but stopping a truck in the middle of the freeway, and traffic does work like it does in real - life (the dynamics of traffic gathering speed overall). What I suggest doing is a) increment the density to maybe 3 or higher and b) put 'sudden change of lane' to max and traffic should become stop-go.

Hope this helps,

Pierre A.

That is actually a great idea. Turning aggressions up may increase the amount of traffic that forms. I never thought of that.

On a kind of offtopic note, the grammar is strong with Pierre A.

Bug found in career mode:

Professional--->Hard work day.

Issue: When I change the route to the gas station (successfully arrived), the mission (task) progress cannot be automatically updated. Namely, there is no gas to be filled then I cannot even drive to the destination with my remaining gas.

This case is very important because I cannot continue practicing the remaining careers.

OS: Win 8 x64

Hi, I did this mission on two computers and it worked both times, so I can't help you fix this bug :(.

What I can do, however, is help you complete this mission even with no re-fill.

STEP 1: Do not let the RPMs go above 1000 at any point
Brotip: Go to 5th gear at 60

STEP 2: Once you have reached 60km/h, press the clutch and don't let go until you are at a very low speed (30).
Brotip: patience is key here.
Brotip 2: Do not stay in the overtaking lane as that is just rude to other drivers :P

Remember: When you press the clutch, you don't use fuel! Brotip: You can switch to neutral instead of pressing the clutch.

I hope it works out,

Pierre A.
