I just want to to say: Thank you Zero Develepment team (oh sry, was it Backward Development, I really can't remember as I haven't touched this simulator in more than half a year) for making me waste money on a useless simulator. I bought it one and a half year ago on the promise of OR implementation, where I bought half a year later the DK2 in preparation, just to know some months after that the promise was broken for implementation on next patch (1.4.0). I definetly enjoyed my Oculus DK2, but I bought it only for the purpose of city driving simulation, which I naïvely thought this program was all about.

Now I must leave my Rig behind so am thinking of selling the DK2 before the CV comes out next year. Again, thanks for nothing. You'll never have my trust again, nor anyone I talk to about this simulator. You broke your promises one time too many. I recall on several posts the unfullfilled promises, with LOTS of delays.

Hold on to your hats ladies and gents, patch 1.5 will defientely come out in the future!!! (pfft, who cares about exact dates, right?...)

PS: A moderator on this site said on another thread that Kivlov promised OR support on next patch few months ago, what do you wanna bet that that was another troll...

Hello,

I'll let the devs make any official statement, but:

1. It is confirmed the next update is "this fall". Watch the teaser trailer to see for yourself.

2. Kivlov has said OR implementation will happen this update.

If you still feel you must sell your DK2 before one or two months, then that's too bad.

If you don't, please refrain from calling the developers/Gurus trolls :) .

Thank you,
SPOUTNIK

The thing is, Backward Development, (sic.) is a very small company. They don't even have their own building. They just rent an office space. Anyway, if you watched their teaser, next update comes this fall. Who cares, right?

If you want to sell your DK2, go sell it. It's your choice, and who are we to interfere?
You want a refund? Please negotiate with the devs and ask for what you want.

Thank you.

PS: If you ever change your mind, stop with the name-calling.

If you mean TriDef it's a program that gives you a false sense of 3D (they simply curve the 2D picture), it's miles away from real OR implementation. Also, you can only turn the camera in polar direction, since CCD is only programmed to do that as of yet and not azimuthal nor radial directions, which makesya sick after a lil while.

I didn't know you could do that! Thanks for Sharing!! Now my screenshots are closer!

I have them both installed but I wasn't a fan of the Chevy Express because of personal reasons. I was meaning something like this International Box truck ( Meant Box Truck, not Van. Sorry)

B) Solid and working Oculus (and Vive) support is needed most, because none of the big-professional-enterprise-driving-simulators have any support for the new consumer VR headsets yet.
Getting this right and a pleasant experience will make City Car Driver into the software that both organizations and individuals use.

 A map editor that includes mission scripting will also be really useful for the enterprise edition users. If we could script
"back up a truck and don't hit the mailbox or pedestrians",
"Follow a car to a destination and don't get too close."
those would be big steps.

Disagree on that, most of the players are between 8 and 18 they can't afford a Vive or oculus or whatever, its just a small group of people that can afford them so a bigger map better traffic more wheater stuff etc is more needed then a solid working for oculus or/and vive.
My own car: Volvo S60 2.4L 170BHP
