TOPIC: Crashes

Crashes 14 Apr 2015 08:52 #43982

Hi. We're running the program on a Desktop using Windows 7 - 32 bit. We bought the game when it was 1.3. It worked for awhile, but then it started having problems with the graphics. Things would change colors and not update, and the engine sound would make it seem like the car was stalling, so my then 7 year old lost interest. Recently, he noticed you updated the program, so he asked me to try the update, hoping it would fix it. I uninstalled 1.3 using the "uninstall program" feature of the Windows control panel, and also threw out the Forward Development folder in "My Documents". I installed 1.4.1 and re-entered our key. The program now crashes when loading free driving, giving a "bad allocation" error message. It also crashes while loading several tasks in career mode, though some tasks do work. He's not using any mods.

I've tried updating Java to 8. I've also updated Windows C++ Run-time to the latest version, deleting previous versions. Is there anything else you'd recommend? He's so disappointed, he wants me to buy him Driving Simulator 2013, now, and really - if we could just get your game working, again, he wouldn't need to buy another game.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Best Regards,

Diana

Delete the "Forward development" folder in my documents, and if that doesn't work you may need to update your drivers. Find out what company makes your graphics card (there's usually a sticker on the case), go the the manufactures website and download the latest drivers.
