Hi ~
Yes, I know there's probably already a thread for this, but I can't find it.

Here we go:

I was thinking, how about (to make CCD seem more realistic) making AI have accidents (not like, small bump at the traffic lights, which can happen but is boring to see, since cars are only skimmed, but really Russian-like car accidents)? Like cars flipping, losing control and hitting signs or doing three-sixties, with other AI stopping at the roadside to make sure the car passengers and driver are okay?

I know it sounds annoying and ironic, but Russian dash-camera videos show just how fun this might actually be.

Thanks in advance ~

These videos are a port representation of Russian streets. It is just that Russia is so large, and there are so many dash cams that it seems like the roads in Russia are terrible. Saying their drivers are bad is quite nationalist (look it up).

David, the way you post your opinions to my ideas makes me feel gray, or so it tends to.

P.S Russia ranks 133rd in safety of cars (as of 2011 or so)

Yeah but David how often in the USA do you see cars flipping over??

I think it is a great idea as if can teach people how to act if you see a huge crash.

Also to add on crash physics could be updated. You can have cars flipping and still look like they come out the factory two days ago but have 50 dents and cracked glass.

Maybe that could be an option in then "accident" section. The problem with car damage is that the texture changes are not detailed enough.

It's the same thing as GTA V - crashing in a specific section on the car and it looks damaged.

The difference between the two? Specific 'areas' in GTA are much smaller than in CCD, so it looks much more realistic when a collision occurs.

Regarding crashes themselves, maybe there could be crazed firemen (since emergency vehicles always run red lights) who accelerate rather than slowing down to cause them.

BREAKING NEWS: Fire truck in Modern District hits three cars at round-about, injuring eight. Driver of fire truck was apparently drunk and didn't see the cars at the roundabout.

^That's not possible now, but just imagining it, it's fun. (Also, the player could be involved in some accidents too. Like, say a car does a 180-degree skid, then turns right while going backwards, hitting the player, or someone cuts the player off, sending the AI into a pole and the player into a ditch, etc (or even someone stops, the player behind, someone hits the player, and someone else hits the person who hit the player - chain reaction!)

Also, regarding dash cams in Russia: most insurances there actually require drivers to have them to make it obvious whose fault it is in the event of a crash, so this is why there are so many videos on YouTube.
