Hello,
I have been using this simulator since 1.2.2. When 1.2.5 came out, I quickly updated, and the special "siren cars" are awesome!

So I drove around and I observed that the special authority cars are not programmed to be given authority when sirens are sounding and beacons are flashing. True, they run through red lights when they appear to be in an emergency, but when they are following another vehicle at a red light, they just sit there doing nothing, during an "emergency" where the beacons flash and the sirens sound. In real life, I rarely see a police cruiser or an ambulance stuck in traffic, so it would be nice if these special authority cars are able to cross to the other side of the road to escape traffic jams. Get what I mean?

In a nutshell, I would like these cars to be more realistic with more authority around the road.
Thanks in advance, I will also be posting this in the Reviews & Suggestions thread :) .

They should also be more common. Granted, it is a pretty rare sight in real life, but they rarely spawn for me, and when they do, they are loads of them. They should work every time you play.

You can change this way:
Go to:
city car driving folder - data - config - right click traffic_cars.xml
Towards the end of the document is written -

<group name = "Car" prob="0.936"/>
<group name = "Bus" prob="0.04"/>
<group name = "Truck" prob="0.02"/>
<group name = "FireDepartment" prob="0.001"/>
<group name = "Ambulance" prob="0.001"/>
<group name = "EmergencyMinistry" prob="0.001"/>
</ time>

Change the 0.001 to -0.043 (Probability of occurrence of standard cars).

In the game I have only seen police cars, ambulances and fire trucks during daytime (no matter what kind of weather). I have never seen them during the evenings, nights and mornings.

Has anyone here seen them in CCD during the evenings, nights and mornings?

Thanks Yuvalk, I'll do that. I was going to ask the question to see if I could change the
probability for some mod cars, but this answers it, thanks!

I changed the probability of the luxury car mods to 0.001 because in my country, not many people drive Ferrari and Audi's :lol: .

The next move I have not tried, but I'm almost sure it will work.
Try copying the probability of special cars, and paste it every hour in day.

I agree about that also. Here is a concrete example where cars are not giving way to a fire truck with blue lights from 01:36 but they gave way to a shopping cart in a roundabout instead :) from 04:24:
