Wasn't sure if I should put this in General or Requests, so feel free to move :S

Remember that nice electric car sound in some mods from 1.2-ish that just use the Corolla sound now? Would anyone still have that sound, or if they don't or it's not compatible with 1.5, would someone want to make one? I would be willing to help look for sounds if making a new one is required :)

Just make blank audio files, and make them the 'engine' sounds. Is that not possible?

That'd be an option, but 1. I'd still need help with that because I have absolutely 0 knowledge regarding audio, and 2. If you've ever been in an electric car, you'd know that there still is an audible whine coming from the motor that changes pitch with the speed of the car, so just having no sound at all would not be as realistic as I would like.

100% not possible based on how the game reads sound. The WAV files have to have substance and a certain size.

When you do that, you can't hear the indicators or horn, which takes away from the simulator feel. Electric cars as Biz said, do have a faint electric motor whine. It's not realistic to just simply turn the volume down and then not be able to hear anything else.

I meant putting the volume sound down on the WAV files.

Still, not as realistic as it could be with the sound. It's a definite possibility if the WAV files don't want to cooperate.
