hello. pls can some1 here tell me if i can use a 3d model car which is above 64 k poly. my car is like 500 or 600 k.
pls reply soon. also pls tell me how to export my model to 3ds format. for me showing error 64 k is limit.pls help me. my car is prado 2018. pls reply soon. i am so excited to do and strt working on this car

Hello,

Are you exporting your model from a newer version of 3DS Max to the 3DS format and receiving an error?
You will need to detach parts of the model to beneath 64,000 polygons to export the object.

yes exporting from a newer version of 3dds max. but all the parts of the cars are needed.

You should select them using the red cube, and then detach them. This will separate them into parts under 64k. You dont need to delete them.

Its the same as this, but the video uses an older version. You shouldn't have to do the whole car, maybe just the body, but it depends on which objects are giving the error.

i have 3ds max 9 as u guys told we need nebula script and all. but to import u gys told u cannot use obj. so is obj fine??

We import OBJ to 3DS Max 2013 or any recent version, then export it as a 3DS to prevent 'visible polygons' on the model (square looking objects).

Sometimes OBJ will work fine, but if it doesn't, you need to export as 3DS.

We only use nebula for exporting the model from 3DS Max 9 to the game (n2 and nvx2).
