TOPIC: GAME MODDING: How to mod something in the game?

Re: GAME MODDING: How to mod something in the game? 04 Sep 2014 14:00 #34499

I'd like to modify an existing mission by making the route longer.
I have found the marshrut.npt files which contain the waypoint locations.
But how do I find/create my own waypoints? If I am in the game how do I find what my current location is?

I have tried using the console command "g_savestartpoint 1" but that only gives me a startpoint id. The waypoint position needs to be 3 numbers separated by commas, e.g. "817.0,8.292598,-2483.266846"

If anyone can help, it'd be really appreciated thanks :)

You cannot change the horn, but you can change the whole car sound, from turn signals sound to engine to horn sound.

To transfer the Corolla (Car28 in game folders) sound to the H1, go to the City Car driving\data\Audio and look for the sound files of the Car28. Copy the file name (without file Extension) of one of the Car28 sound files (they have the same name but different file extension) and go to City Car Driving\data\gamedata\cars and look for the Hummer H1's codename (you can see the codename in its player_cars code). Open the Hummer H1 folder and open CarProperty.ini with notepad and in the SoundBankName, paste the Car28 sound filename in between the quotes. Save it on desktop and move it back to the Hummer H1 folder. It will overwrite the old CarProperty.ini file. Run the game, choose the Hummer H1 and enjoy the great horn of the Corolla (dev car) sound  . This can also be done to other mods and even developer cars :)

Hi Jericho,

Is this still being the procedure for changing the sounds of Moded Cars in CCD 1.3.3? i find the sounds of some moded cars a little bit funny. Specially the Infinity FX50 (wich i love) sounds like a rail road , or the Holden sounds like a vacuum.

I´m really more in to smooth driving and i would prefer all the sounds and the overall performance of the Corolla and the Prado :P ,

Would there be a way to do this changes in the sound and the performance dept of my Moded Cars?

Ty
