Ok so here is the deal guys. I have a Logitech G27 wheel and ever since I bought it, it would calibrate when I plugged it in, but eventually, the center would be turned about 40-50+ degrees to the left or right. I would just unplug and then plug it back in. no harm no foul
Today though, the wheel refuses to stay calibrated correctly for more than a few turns (if at all). Today it has just pulled to the left dramatically and it only gets worse with time. I would almost thin there are two problems; one that wont calibrate the wheel correctly, and one that lets the good calibrations come undone; or maybe it's one problem, I do not know
From what I have read, the G27's seem to prone to this disaster. I have read about that screw located by the electric motor that could be loose and cause the off centered calibration. I disassembled the wheel today to the bare parts, and the screw was already tight, so there goes that problem. After inspecting the functions of the wheel, the problem seems to be limited to two things. Either the gear is slipping when I turn the wheel, making the wheel think the wheel is straight, even when it is not, or both of the games I play consistently
The first attachment is the screw I was referring to earlier, and the second is the spot where the gear and the little guide piece go (best I could find)
P.S. I have tried all settings on the Logitech Profiler like turning of the centering spring, not allowing games to mess with the settings, etc. Also, Ive tried the generic calibrator on windows and it seems to register the wheel straight about half the time but the problem persists. Ive updated drivers, reinstalled the Logitech software. I feel like I have tried everything, but there has to be an answer. Maybe there is a part that is broken? I AM SO LOST
