simulationdude,

Pentiums could like, not be good enough. But I don't think that's nothing to worry about. Running this game on all high settings and at least 90-100% traffic or pedestrians and not even 1 bit of lag. I love the feeling of no lag haha.

Have fun though.

Your CPU is also 3.2 GHz not 6.8 GHz. And the feeling i get playing on high settings with 400% traffic with the autobahn mod makes me happy, on my old laptop B)
I also found out that my newest laptop is alot better then your video card and a bit better then your processor. My new PC specs:

AMD A6 Quad-Core accelerated processor
x64 bit
AMD Radeon 6520
6 gig ram (planning on upgrading to 8)
500 HDD

So my computer is turbo and i believe can be overclocked. With my new laptop i am going to play on high settings with 60% traffic recording and from what i see, i will get over 50 fps. 60-80 fps if i upgrade to 8 gigs of ram. So actually the new laptop you are getting is ok, but not the best in the market. My old laptop can compare to it. If i were you i would get a better video card on your computer.

If you get another computer this is what i would recommend:

AMD Athlon x2 4000+ dual core
ATI Radeon HD 4830
6 gigs of ram (8 if you plan on recording)
500 gigs of hard space

If you want a premade computer then search for one and tell me the specs if you are not sure if its good or not.
How can you recommend a 4-5 years old pc ...
If you want to buy a new pc buy something like this its not so expensive, these are the lowest prices on the market.
CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 280 3.60GHz .
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD6670 1GB DDR5 128-bit .
Motherboard: ASRock N68-VS3 FX .
RAM: Zeppelin 4GB DDR3 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (4 gigs are enough, you can upgrade in the future if you want) .
HDD: Seagate 500GB SATA-III .
PSU: Sirtec - High Power Element 400W .
That's all , and you will run City Car Driving and other games well.

How can you recommend a computer that costs so much? And not worth it either...
Going with what i recommended is better and cheaper.
That processor house said is good but the video card he said is not as good as a 4830 is and that video card would cost more. Age does not matter. Performance does.

How can you say a 3.6 GHz computer is cheap?

Not worth?
You don't reccomend good stuff.
The video card i recommended its better than your 4830 and il tell you why:
Core Clock: 575MHz vs 800 MHz Core Clock
Memory Clock: 1,800MHz (effective) vs 4000 MHz Effective
Memory: 512MB GDDR3 vs 1GB GDDR5
And list goes on and on just because it has 256 bits it doesn't mean its better than 128 bits.
About the processor:
Socket: AM2 not upgradeable vs AM3+ upgradeable to FX 8350 eight cores (just an example).
Ram: DDR2 vs DDR3.
But you can go ahead and buy "cheap pc's" and then come back on the forums and complain about ccd is poorly optimized.
And I don't even think you will find the parts you reccomended new online or in store.
I hope this post doesn't offend anyone :) .

Alternatively, you could spent less time, money and effort and buy a console, so all you have to do is pop the disc in and voila.

Or just have a kinda OK PC to play some games on PC and others on console.

Or buy a PC, or whatever suits you and your needs.

BTW, CCD is poorly optimized. We've had numerous threads of people complaining that their PC can run a NASA space shuttle but CCD lags.

Or the "you don't recommend good stuff" I've been personally thanked through pm's for recommending good pc's first of all. Just because i spend most of my time on the offtopic section of the forum does not mean i am stupid.
First of all, my pc is not cheap, it costed around 700-1300 USD. secondly i never said CCD was ever poorly optimized. From what i see i have one of the best computers on the entire forum. Eight cores is only Quad-core. Computers can't get up to eight cores that are actually good cores for gaming. So far on this post not a single computer has a both a better cpu and video card then i do. Lets just leave it at that. Both computers are great, they can run ccd well and they are good parts. We didn't need the "Cheap pc's" or the "How could you recommend someone a pc that old." We could've just left it as is. ;)

Hey hey hey guys, settle down now  . My processor is 5 years old, but it's still good, Intel Core2Quad, and my 1TB HDD is 4 years old, Motherboard 2 years old, Graphics card (Nvidia GTX580) is a year old, but overall it is still a good PC ;) . I can max out in every graphics settings in almost every game without lagging. So whether old or new, it doesn't matter as long as it performs well, and it is stable enough :) .
