TOPIC: Realistic Crash Simulation Kivlov

Realistic Crash Simulation Kivlov 16 Sep 2013 15:53 #15278

Hey. Kivlov i think it would be great if your Team would work together with BeamNG. For a Car Simulation it would be a great thing if you make a little accident but must drive fruther with a damaged car. For a Driving Simulator a must go. A cooperation between you two 2 would be awesome & and profitable i think. The Combination of their Realstic car damage and your Simulator could and should be fusioned.

Good thinking :woohoo: . But, there was a different thread about this and he replied that it would be a no. Also, 1.3 has been out for the Russian since almost the beginning of this year! Hope it's out soon!

It's a really good idea. Maybe they can work with the source code of Rigs of Rods, too.

BeamNG is made by the same people as Rigs of Rods, and anyway, to run just one car at 30fps needs a great PC, to run even the amount of cars on 10% traffic would be impossible especially with the AI and stuff.

Really? Then why do i not lag with driver Francisco and the graphics look better and it has highly detailed crashes. Personally i like driver Francisco crashes better then Beam.

Mine doesnt lag too. 7870 OC. It's maxed Out. But you all should know they are using the CryEngine 3 = Crysis 3 Engine.

beamNG lags on my pc. I get around 25FPS on avg quality and 12 on max quality. Crashes give me 0-1FPS... It would be great to incorporate BeamNG's crashes but i don't think it'd be fair to those with the lesser pc's.

It uses Torque 3d, it was CryEngine3 at one point.

And no, technologically, Driver: SF's crashes are waaaay worse than Beamng's. In Driver the damage is pre-set-so when you crash it already knows what shape the car is going to deform to. In BeamNG, the damage is more realistic and can deform into anything. BeamNG's physics also simulates how the cars handle too, which is just as advanced as the damage.
