Today, on my way to school, I was riding normally in my dad's car when we noticed a woman, probably more than 50 years of age, cross the street. My dad stopped the car to give way to her. A speeding Toyota Corolla on the other lane didn't stop, and he hit her  . She looked unconscious on the ground. This was the first time I witnessed a pedestrian accident, and I was shocked. I hope she's fine  . I hope people got his license plate...

Yes, it's very dangerous, I think it happened because another car driver just didn't see her from behind your car. The other driver should be more careful if he see another car is starting to stop for some reason.

On Russian dash cam videos this is very common, in a two-lane road, one lane of traffic stops, but the other doesn't and the blocked traffic means the pedestrian and the other lane of traffic can't see each other.

If other lanes are stopped at a crossing, you should too.

When i was in Egypt, i saw a bus hit an old woman. She flew at least ten feet. It was a miracle that she was able to stand up afterwards.:(

Last month my dad witnessed someone get killed on his way home or to work. The car hydro-planed into another car going 65 mph and the woman in the vehicle was killed.
On the road to my school atleast 10 people got hit this year.
Also on the road to my school a car got hit and they couldn't get the women out of the car and the car blew-up and the young woman died. There is maybe like 25 flowers on a road that may not last close to a full mile.
I was in a car accident once a extremely long time ago. 5 trucks ran the red light with my mother following along and they crashed together. A dump truck, fire truck, gas truck, and 1-2 more.
I also witnessed a police car get hi-jacked twice

In America it is different. Pedestrians don't get the right-a-way unless its at a intersection with a pedestrian light. Otherwise the pedestrian has to wait. If the pedestrian continues to go and once car stopped and the car didn't then the pedestrian would receive a 25-50 dollar fine. But that's just how it is in North Carolina, everything changes between states.

Even if it's so I think it's better to stop and let the fool pass instead of getting a murder on your own soul.

P.S.: By the way, will the driver in USA not be punished if he hit the pedestrian that crossing the road in a wrong place?

Can you give me a example of a wrong place?

I think Kivlov means if a driver hit a pedestrian that was jaywalking (Or crossing the road where they shouldn't), would the driver be punished?
