Yesterday (Oct. 15, 2013), I just started the day playing CCD. As I was playing, my house started to shake A LOT. My parents and I went out of the house. It was still shaking. The earthquake lasted for about 2 minutes, and it was 7.2 magnitude. Epicenter was in Bohol, the island next to where we live  . We are still experiencing aftershocks, and I hope we'll be fine.
Here's a pic of what was in the news:

Translated: Staff from the Cebu City Hall run outdoors during the sudden earthquake.

Read more about it here

Here's a video:

I remember one night I had an earthquake-I lived near a train track back then, so I assumed it was a really big freight train. The earthquake was only about 3 magnitude, which is impressive for the UK, where the biggest natural disaster is snow closing a road.

A 7.2 magnitude is BIG, I'm surprised only 144 people where killed. It must have been really scary.

Fun Fact:
Hiding under a door frame during an earthquake is pointless. People think it helps because 100 years ago houses where poorer quality and door frames did not collapse, leasing to the myth that they are strong structurally. Nowadays they aren't, your better off hiding under a heavy table or bed.

There was an earthquake here in 1990, and I think it was stronger than this one. I wasn't born yet, so I couldn't be sure  .
