Hello all,

Just wondering what sort of processors, RAM, graphics etc that people are using to run CCD, and how well it runs for you.

I'm considering building a new PC, and the pretty much the only game/simulator I use now is CCD mainly.

My current PC was meant to be temporary, but I've ended up using it for 4 years. It was pretty outdated back when I got it to start with! It still runs CCD which considering the specs you won't believe it. It's hilariously low spec compared to what some people on here are using.

I'm thinking about getting an i3/i5 and 8gb RAM. I won't bother with an SSD, it won't be worth it. I already have a decent PSU in my current PC I can use. I haven't decided between ATI or Nvidia graphics yet.

I am experienced at computer repair/building, so I just want to know what people have and how well CCD runs for them, I don't need a list of what people think I should get, as that wouldn't help much.

Thanks

Hi!

The i3 should not be touched. Get an i5 at lowest. You are much better off just getting an i7.

I have 8GB Ram (I would like to get 16) , i5 (I would like to get i7), Nvidia GTX 960, 500GB Samsung SSD (I want an upgrade it is running low and I only got it a few months ago).

I don't know my motherboard but it is something from ASUS.

My specs run the game with the standard cars at 120+ fps. With the most detailed cars about 70+ (S63 AMG by Ksen). I would recommend getting an I7-4790k and 16gb of DDR3. GPU wise a GTX960 would be ideal but you could go for something lower-end like a GTX780ti. But I do recommend getting a newer GPU. :)
Computer Specs:
ASUS TUF FX505DT
[Processor] AMD Ryzen 5 3500H @ 3.7 GHz
[RAM] 16GB 2666MHz DDR4
[Storage] 256 GB PCIE SSD + 1 TB SATA SSD
[Graphics] NVIDIA GTX 1650 (4GB GDDR5)

To the good times.

Much love.
Peace.

The S63 is not very detailed in my opnion the RS7 GL63 and the SVR are much better!

Well I am speaking FPS wise. The S63 just eats up FPS on pretty much all PC's without a really good GPU. I get the RS 7 and the SVR are more detailed they just seem to much more optimized for said game.

I have an X4 860K which is basically a quad core, overclockabke i3. As for GPU, AMD is far superior in every way. Pascal 10 is going to be amazing, with their mid tier card comparing to a Titan X.

Thanks. I do prefer the i5, was thinking I could get away with an i3 seeing as how much I use the PC. i7 will be overkill for me. I haven't looked into graphics for ages so don't really know whats out there. We ran CCD on my brothers PC once, which had a GTX 650ti I think, it seemed ok on full settings (was older CCD though).

Thanks. I think i7 would be overkill for what I need, I'd also be happy with 8gb RAM. Budget is not a concern so if there is a significant improvement with higher end parts I would be willing to get them (though I don't want to waste money needlessly). Are those the specs your using or just ones your suggesting?

Thanks. I'm not a fan of AMD processors but will look into it.
