I've looked at different parts over the last few months and I think I will be going with an i5 with 16gb ram and a 750ti 2gb. Hopefully CCD will run pretty good on this. I've not completely decided yet though.

You could get a EVGA 740 4GB GDDR5 for only $100

Might do you better than a 750ti for a slightly cheaper price.
Anything below a 750ti is trash for gaming.
It's better than the 750ti...

Well, if you overclock your 750 TI it might be a little better. I still recommend getting at least a 950.

And for CPU you should get an i5 4690K or i5 6400 or 6500 or 6600K.

I looked at the GTX 960 and it will cost about another £30 ($40 USD) to get it.

I think I will just stick with the 750ti for now and see how I go. I use my Mac mostly so the PC isn't going to be used much so might not be worth spending the extra. Unless the performance increases justifies the extra money?

I could always upgrade later.

Finally got a new PC sorted. I got an i5 with 8gb RAM in the end. I might upgrade to 16gb of RAM if I need to but I don't think I need to yet.

I installed CCD and tried it just to see what would happen. I was surprised that it runs fine without a graphics card! It's perfectly playable, even with higher settings than minimum. I suppose CCD is more processor intensive than graphics intensive. I've gone from a Pentium 4 to an i5 so quite an upgrade! I will eventually get a graphics card but I can get by without until I make my mind up.

A Pentium 4?? You have needed an upgrade for a long time! Yeah, you're going to need a graphics card. Might I suggest an Rx460 or 470.

Yes, Pentium 4! It was meant to be temporary. However temporary turned into permanent, haha. I was mainly looking at the 750ti or GTX 960. I'm open to looking at others though.

What price point are the 960 and 750ti where you live?

750ti about £110-£120 seems to be average. GTX 960 about £145-£200. At the moment I'm thinking along the lines of one of the lower priced 960s. I haven't looked properly yet if I'm honest.
