It is only when you crash into an S-Class that you gotta stop.

Oh! Is that really true?

Yeah.

Wow! If someone from the US was visiting Vietnam, they'd get their mirrors chopped off and get upset when the person doesn't stop. They'd call it a hit-and-run. Is it considered a hit-and-run there, but people just don't care?

They all use bikes, and tourists use taxi's.

They'd probably wonder why their taxi's don't have mirrors  That's why they need virtual mirrors like CCD :)

No, the scooters smash each others mirrors off. Cars are well avoided.

Not really an idiot, but just an occurrence.

You see, we were travelling home from our holiday passing some trucks on the freeway.

The car in front of us finished passing, and as required, moved back to the left lane.

Except, when he got back there must have been debres on the road, as he swerved to avoid something. The next second his entire side skirt is ripped off and is hanging onto the car. He was lucky he swerved, or that ripped side skirt could have been parts of his undercarriage.

Unfortunately, our dashcam seems to be acting up. It was recording 240p instead of 1080p. Microphone off instead of on. So the video isn't much use.

Wow. Seems more like a person doing what was proper :) One time, we were driving down the highway, and something similar happened. There was a pickup truck with glass in the back. They didn't tie it down and it fell out the back. Everyone was swerving the glass as it fell out and shattered against the highway. My mom called the police to let them know, because it didn't seem like the driver knew at all what was happening.

It's not allowed to change lanes on a solid line. The red Civic and the dashcam car are in the wrong. The truck in this case has the right of way.

Poor guy...
As a pedestrian...
I was almost hit by a white Camry V55 while crossing the road (Mr. Driver, if you're reading this, f*** you), the same place where a motorcycle hit the taxi a few posts back. Here's how it happened:

I was casually walking and decided to cross the street at the designated pedestrian crosswalk. I started to cross, seeing that the SUV had stopped to let me and some other peds cross. A few cars back, this impatient Camry driver decided to go on the wrong side of the road to overtake everyone who was stopping for the pedestrians. Traffic wasn't even heavy - there were maybe only 3 cars in front of the Camry, all stopped to let us cross (how nice of them  ). When I stepped into the other side where I would normally look to the right to check for vehicles, I took a look to the left, and this Camry zoomed past at speed, missing me by only a few inches.

I wouldn't be typing this from my home computer if he hadn't missed. That was probably one of the closest calls I've had as pedestrian.
