My mum really only drives SUV's. More common for parents than sedans. Sedans can be as a first car option along with hatchbacks here.

In USA/Canada/Mexico moms drive whatever they want. We are not like other countries

Is the Fortuner equivalent to a 4Runner?

It's more comparable to a Toyota Highlander most likely.
Computer Specs:
ASUS TUF FX505DT
[Processor] AMD Ryzen 5 3500H @ 3.7 GHz
[RAM] 16GB 2666MHz DDR4
[Storage] 256 GB PCIE SSD + 1 TB SATA SSD
[Graphics] NVIDIA GTX 1650 (4GB GDDR5)

To the good times.

Much love.
Peace.

The Fortuner is meant to be the Hilux's SUV sibling. If the 4runner is meant to be like that for the Tacoma, then I guess so.

Just a side note, I'm not from the USA. I'm from the Philippines. And here, women can drive whatever they want. They're not limited by such stereotypes :) .

On another note, it's been a week since the purchase. Everything's been great, no problems at all. Some new accessories were installed such as the bug shield/hood deflector or whatever you wanna call it.

Uh. Did you have issues with the reverse camera/beeper being wired wrong?

Jericho have you driven your mum's Toyota if so what does it feel like driving wise compared to your Hyundai? Maybe do you like it any better something like that. Also very nice car your mum owns considering to me it's a new car it should be very reliable i wonder if it also will have a reversing camera and other amazing toys and things it should well equipped.

Oh, right. I forgot about that one. The reverse beeper was wired wrong. If the obstacle was on the left side of the car, the monitor would report it as being on the right. Brought it back to Toyota, and they fixed it right then and there.

I've driven it a few times and it needs a bit of adjustment. Interior-wise, the Toyota is more spacious than the Santa Fe. The cockpit of the Santa Fe is quite small and I've gotten used to that, so when I drove the Toyota which has a much larger cockpit, I felt quite small, and as a man of 5'7, that's not very surprising. I felt like this young driver:

I managed to adjust though, and I've gotten used to it.

Driving wise, the power is quite similar, except the Toyota's gears are shorter than those of the Santa Fe, so it accelerates a bit faster, which makes sense, given the Santa fe's old 5-speed auto as opposed to the Fortune's 6-speed.

The wheelbase of the Fortuner is longer than the Santa Fe, and it's a bit higher, so it has a bit of a problem with small narrow backroads and alleys.

Overall, it's a good car. Loving it so far, other than the backup beeper and monitor being wired wrong. It's too early to say I like it more than the Santa Fe, but I might.
