I am about to get a LG G4 for my Christmas present. It is an awesome phone with good specs and I tried my friend's G4 and LOVED. I did some more research on it and...boom..bootloop issues on G4. I wanted to ask you guys is it safe to buy a G4. It looks like that it happened on earlier models and is fixed on newer models(maybe). I want to use my phone for at least 3 years without some stupid issues like that.
Can someone tell me if it is a safe buy or not.

I suppose, though I wouldn't recommend it for myself seemingly an iPhone 6S factory unlocked is more powerful and costs the exact same. I can't speak for the G4, though my dad has an LG phone and it's fair besides the horrible camera quality. LG is definitely a pretty good phone company besides them being stupid ugly in my opinion. My old Samsung Galaxy had a bootloop issue that was never resolved.

My dad had an LG G4. Was a really good phone but I prefer his LG G5.

The wide angle camera is spectacular. It is needed once you have it.

I always go to get a picture in some cramped space, and my dad can take it with ease. It made me jealous the entire Vietnam holiday, as he could fit heaps more in the photo.

The G5 has a really good feel.

Not saying the G4 is bad, but when you look at pictures and say ew to the G5 and prefer a G4, having the G5 in reality, is way better.


On the issue side of things, nothing. My dad dropped his many times and just a few scratches. He used nova launcher for most of the time.

It is a safe buy, but I think the G5 is better.

The G5 wont not have issues, but it has features I find more useful.

I am probably going to get it, it is 369€ in the place where I buy it while the 64GB Rose Gold 6S is 689€

I have an LG G5. It is awesome!! Wide angle camera is great, it is very fast, with fast charge 3.0 it charges my phone from 0% to 100% in 30 minutes. It can play videos it 1440p and 360Vr. No buggy issues yet, and to make it even better, Android 7.0 Nougat got released for it...I have it, and It made the phone even better, and now can shoot 1080p60fps!

I'd go with the G5 if u can

I've got the G4. The camera quality is absolutely phenominal. It'll film videos in 4K, and has great wide angle. I took this picture with it and did not edit or enhance it at all:

I've got an iPhone 6s Rose Gold w/ 64GB of storage. I love the camera and the software that comes with it. The only gripe I have is that if you don't get the Plus model you don't get Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Other than that though, I've had an excellent experience and it's super quick in everyday use. It's also has excellent battery life.
