Great News!

City Car Driving 2.0 is official, with a trailer and a Steam page.
Looks like all of our waiting is going to be rewarded, with a planned Q1 2024 released date.

Some of the new features include:
- Dynamic time and weather
- Mud effects on the side of cars
- Bushes / trees that sway in the wind
- Completely new sounds and graphics engine
- Italian/Spanish/French inspired city

Graphics look nice. I like the rural area and the puddles in the road. But, they are quite similar to other games with these generic game engines. There is another game coming soon (CityDriver), and it looks nearly the same. I hope the graphics can be tuned a little bit more to make it unique.

Still no sign of multiplayer, I really hope it will have it. There needs to be something to excite younger players, or they'll stick to Assetto Corsa.

The new map looks great. The city looks super detailed, but I would prefer to get rid of the bollards. Feels like we are quite constrained on where we drive/park. Maybe the new engine doesn't support running over pedestrians and smashing down chairs + tables .

The included cars seem to have been made by Heisenberg. They are all identical to his previous mods. Veloster and Colorado would be ripped from Forza, while the rest are from Hum3D. Kind of concerning. I believe the Elantra is the only true developer car.

This is an early teaser. The project is under active development. Of course there will be more changes.

Our opinion regarding the multiplayer hasn't changed. We still doesn't exclude that online mode may be added in future, but cannot tell you when exactly. This statement is also valid for CCD 2.

This looks promising. How mod-friendly will this be when it comes out?
Driving without a wheel is the hardest thing you can ever do.

New engine should make our lives easier. We cannot tell you yet what modding opportunities will be available, but we will strive for extending the modding features.

The URL title seemed much more ridiculous than that: "City_Car_Driving_20"

STEALER. I'll stay on CCD 1.5.9.2. The modder you mentioned has made an Elantra mod as well (it is an 2014 one, and an Avante as well). But the Elantra in CCD 2.0 looks like a 2011-2014 model (air vents on interior, fog light shape)

We are cooperating with Heisenberg. For the teaser all vehicles have been significantly redesigned.
