Though many of you already know how to use the forum, I felt the need to make this thread for the new members who have never tried being a forum member before.
So, let's get to business. Here, we have a list of the commonly used forum functions when making posts. These functions can be found above the area where you enter text when posting a message.
1. Bold
2. Italic
3. Underline
4. Font size. This is symbolized by a large uppercase T and a smaller uppercase T
5. Color
6. Link tag (Lies next to the image tag). This allows you to post links without having the website address in the message, but instead a text that leads to another page when clicked. Example (link leads to forum index)
7. Image tag (Next to the link tag). Symbolized by a small square picture next to the link tag. This allows you to post images on the forum. Example:
Make sure the link to the image has the .jpg at the end.
8. Spoiler tag. This is symbolized by a white box with a green arrow in the bottom. This hides your text and only shows it when the spoiler is clicked. Example:
Warning: Spoiler![ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ]
You just opened a spoiler
9. Don't trust guests? Only trust members? We have a tag to hide text from non-members too. It's located next to the spoiler tag and its symbol is 2 people. Example: Part of the message is hidden for the guests. Please log in or register to see it.
10. And last, the smileys. Quite self explanatory, just click on a smiley.
Some friendly reminders:
When replying to the last post, no need to quote. When replying to an older post, that's when you can quote.
Racist, sexist, hateful or any other post that the staff of this forum (Kivlov and I) determine to be unsuitable will be deleted and the member may be banned.
Posts should be made in the correct forum and also be on topic.
We don't tolerate any harassing, insulting or disrespecting against forum members. We may not ban the member immediately, but if the member continues to insult, harass, or display undesirable behavior against other forum members, the user may be banned.
As much as possible, please don't use "HEEEEEEEEELP!!!!!!!!!" as your thread subject/name. It's very vague.
When sharing a YouTube video, just put a link to the YouTube video and the forum module will automatically embed the video so that it can be watched without navigating to the YouTube website manually. And make sure the tag is http:// and not https://, otherwise, the forum module will not embed it.
Example:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCixemsm8ms
Last but not least, spam is prohibited and the member may be banned.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, dear user. Feel free to reply and ask questions. Have fun in this forum, and let's all be friends .
