Hello! (Kivlov in particular)

I have come up with an idea which can definitely help a lot when it comes to making a good impression on the game's current customers and the future customers.

My idea is very simple. Currently we have a forum of around 10-20 active users (Coming on daily). Many of them are very experienced with the game, and others not.

Lots of people come and ask questions about the game. The way we answer them is the key to whether they purchase or don't purchase the game. We have to make a good first impression. To do that, we need to have proper answers to their questions. We don't want people replying with incorrect information.

What I have come up with will be a big change. I don't even know if the forum can do it. It will only apply to General (English). It doesn't apply to Mods (General) as people would have already bought the game if they are posting there.

What Will Happen?
- All replies to a post will require moderator approval. Anyone can start topics, but only a few people can reply without approval.

- A new rank. Jericho, David and I will be able to decide who will get the ranks. We know who is best at answering the questions. The rank is called 'Helper'. The Helper rank will give the person the ability to make replies without moderator approval. To avoid any issues, the Helper rank is only visible when in General (English). They return to Guru (Or what ever rank they were at.) when they are in other sections of the forum.

Maybe we can make it so that certain topics don't require approval, as questions for the game aren't asked in those topics. These topics can include; City Car Driving Files, City Car Driving is on TV!, Bug reports for City Car Driving 1.5, Feedback / Notes & Suggestions, etc.

So, what do you think? Vote in the poll above. If enough people say yes and Kivlov agrees with it, we can do it! That is unless the forum isn't actually capable of it.

Oddly, I vote no. This is sort of monopolizing the forum for experienced users, and giving people special power that goes against how I feel everybody on the forum is. Everybody on the forum should be equal, and it would be a lot of extra work to review every post, instead of just banning spammers every time and again. Helpers give too much power to users, so the more posts will just be staff doing their job. The forum is fine as it is.

I don't think it's odd at all that you feel that way. I am with you here. I think that we have a perfectly fine setup right now. Requiring every post to be approved is impeding on people's freedom. What if someone just comes here to ask a question? They can't. (At least not until a moderator approves.)
