GSHAPIROY, you have misread it.

People can ask questions normally, it is the replies to the question that require approval.

Still, why not just let people try to help?

Some people will give incorrect information. This information might be used and the person could have their game broken.

I'm going to say this. If this goes through, I will refuse to comply with anything this states. It is ridiculous that we are trying to monopolize who can help other users.

It is just a suggestion. No need for arguments about how it will ruin the forum. It might not even happen.

This is an idea that is both good and bad. I'm not gonna say what makes it good anymore since it has been stated in the main post. However, the people who do not have the helper rank might lose motivation to come to the forum as it may seem like we are trying to dictate who can help other people. I understand that everyone, even those without the rank, can help others, but the rank would create something like a caste system here. It would give the impression that users with the helper rank are automatically better and more reliable than those who don't have it. It would create a stereotype that ordinary users without the rank are untrustworthy, unreliable, and should be ignored.

Realistically speaking, I do not think this is a feasible idea. In addition to this, I think banning spammers would require less work and time than to constantly have to review every post.

Cheers,
Jericho

I don't think it's a good idea. I beleive all users should have the rights to post notwithstanding their experience.

I did start to change my mind as the days went by.

I was noticing how unique our forum is to have these opportunities.
